That's great to hear! I've been looking into the Classic Vibe Teles, and I hear the quality is very nice, especially compared to the cost difference. I look forward to seeing the resonators come out! Cheers to you as well sir!

Sounds great!!. Has a warm sound...really creamy.

Yeah - not stupidly loud either so you can really crank it at a gig without blowing everyone away. I'll often put the master up on full and then just adjust the channel volume to get the level right. Not bad for £300 or something including a 2x12!

Squier VM Surf? I have that same guitar and it's great to see someone using it for Hendrix stuff! Dunno why some people say those pickups are only for surf/funk playing. Thanks for proving them wrong!
@JamesShipwayGuitar8 жыл бұрын
+paqman78 Hi there. Yeah...like that guitar. Those pickups sound great for blues and rock...in fact the guitar will do most stuff. I use it all the time when I play blues and it always sounds great. One of my students uses one and couldn't believe how nice it was for the price...so I got one. Cheers, James (by the way if you like blues check out my blues lessons on my website jamesshipwayguitar.com/freeguitarlessons ) Hope fully see you there sometime! J

Very useful licks. Amazing the mileage the great ones could get out of a few notes. Great lesson! What gauge strings do use? Those look like beefy E, A, and D strings. Great tone. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these lessons.
@JamesShipwayGuitar9 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your encouraging words...glad you find my lessons so good. The strings on my guitar are just a regular set of d'addario tens....nothing too heavy, but this Strat has quite a nice meaty sound to it anyway. Cheers and thanks for watching! James

Im a guitar builder in Colorado, hello. I alway thought lipstick tube pickups, were a great idea for blues and vintage rock, do you wind your own or what? Pretty meaty tone , I like it. Do you run them away from the strings like single coils? Do they cut through at stage volumes?
@JamesShipwayGuitar9 жыл бұрын
Hi There. These are just the stock pickups that came with the guitar Edad. Simple old squier pickups! But as you say...they do sound surprisingly fat. In fact if you crank the gain up a bit they're capable of pretty heavy sounds for single coils. As for stage volume I've not used this guitar live yet , but reckon they would cut it.
