I’d love to go and see the dig site. But as I’m in Australia it’s a bit too far, maybe one day. I really like your updates and look forward to them coming out thanks so much for keeping us informed.

Enjoy seeing these videos, as I have been here many times. The last time was 2017, they were working on the inside of the church. I need to go back and see it now !!

My wife and I were there late last summer when you were just beginning to start your dig on the north side of the church. We had an opportunity to speak with one of the archaeologists about what you were trying to determine with this dig. His information was interesting and we are glad to see this article that expands on the work you started while we were visiting. We are from Hampton Roads Virginia originally but now live near Galveston, TX, but we still keep up with what is going on with research in the Historic Triangle.

This post might not have any connection with the holiday season, but for me it's as much a Christmas gift as I'd want. I'm an old man and now trying to clear out a lifetime of clutter. This proved a fantastic gift... and I don't have to find a place for it in a dresser drawer or closet shelf. My family migrated from New Kent Co., Virginia to central Kentucky ca. 1780. I live within 2 miles of where our deep Kentucky roots were planted. I've wanted to visit Jamestown since I was a in jr. high. I grew up (and still live) on a farm. Vacations weren't part of our lifestyle, and I guess I followed that same path. However, I'm determined to cross a visit to Jamestown off my senior citizens bucket list in the near future. Your posts make it all the more evident that it's a must do. Thanks so much for all the posts. It gives this old man tremendous enjoyment.

Truly enjoy these videos i love the history and how you guys let the art artifacts tell you what is going on. But I have a question. How deep are the units dug out

Great video! Do you use AI to help visualize dig sites and artifacts found there and/or to help choose new dig sites?

Sounds like Jamestown was built on-top of an indigenous settlement, wonder how peaceful that came about.

I think it's better to have the nickname "digger" refer to Archaeology rather than Undertaking 😄
