This was a really well timed video for me, thank you! I needed to hear this. I sometimes think living on your own can increase that “self doubt shadow” too. You have no one to go back to and talk about the lesson, the good points and not so good bits. Great advice as usual 😊

I passed 8-9 weeks ago and not driven since due to confidence, imposter syndrome if you will. A short piece of advice and guidance like this has made me realise I need to get back on the horse......well, car.

Failed my test yesterday it was my 4th one- but I've had lots of disruption inbetween. Examiner was also being examined (or quality checked? Is that what you would call it- I think they all have to occasionally) - I knew I'd failed (and It was an obvious fail) but I sort of felt like I had to still treat it like I was still in the running (it does feel futile at this point) because she was being checked- I suppose also to be safe and responsible anyway while you have passengers as well. It is hard to not let it knock your confidence though- especially when there are people who get through in their first attempt. Luckily a cancellation came through for in 3 weeks time. I trust my instructor wouldn't have let me do it if he didn't think I was ready- so hopefully this next one will be the right time. 🤞

Sorry to hear about your test result. Have a look over all your driving test results and see if any faults keep popping up on more than one test result. If it does, work on that area more. Good luck on your next test.

I passed my test years ago and i used to be a confident driver but now i have lost all of my confidence for driving on motorways, i doubt my abilities and worry about making mistakes. Especially at night and when everyone is doing high speeds. Do you have any tips for regaining confidence and recovering from motorway driving anxieties?

I failed third time recently - everytime i think im ready but my nerves legit make me want to be sick. First two times it was my parking (i did parallel park right but assumed i was wrong and in correcting failed and second time i took too long doing the reverse park). Third time was within 30 seconds as we were leaving a car came out of nowhere and i didn't react. Its disappointing as my instructor says its nothing but my own nerves and lack of confidence but i dont know how to get over it 😢

Sorry to hear about tests. Practice and mock tests does help. There is also courses out there if the nerves does not improve
