Hi, great info supplied, I am going for CT scan tomorrow to find out what a 7.2 mass on kidney is. My family are worried sick but your journey gives some hope so thank you as real info is hard to find. Good luck for the future.

I was diagnosed on the 03 12 20 and had my radical nephrectomy on the 29th December with the NHS in Bedford. 9cm tumour on my left kidney.

I can relate to how slow it feels with the NHS my tumour was found in January and had to go private to have my partial nephrectomy in may

What size was your tumour? I have the same and seeing consultant in a weeks time. feels like a long wait and really stressful. Just want the whole thing over now, found out 3 weeks ago.

@@swanyjbeautytravelvlog I was very lucky and it was found really small at 16mm when they found it I was told it was 10mm on a previous scan that was done 9 months before. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long I think my contrast scan was a week after it was found and my consultant was a month after due to MDT and stuff it was the surgery wait that was the longest

Hi Declan,I hope everything went well for you and you're feeling better.This August I was diagnosed with a 4.1 tumor on my right kidney and have been advised by the MDT board to have a radical nephrectomy.My operation will be in 3 months as I had covid pneumonia in July and was told to wait 3 months to allow my lungs to properly heal.I am feeling very anxious waiting,I was ok for the first month but now getting worried having to wait until November.My urologist said I could have a biopsy while I wait but it may come back negative and there's a 10% of a false negative plus I don't feel comfortable with disturbing the tumor as I feel that there is a small chance it could spread so I'm leaning more towards the full removal

I had an 8.3 x 8.1 x 7:9 cm grade 3 tumour. No symptoms. Nephrectomy of left kidney.

Your story is the same as mine Declan. I was diagnosed with exactly the same thing in March 2020. I had no symptoms, mine was accidental discovery after a work accident. Private is the way to go. Good luck my friend.

So did you have the surgery privately? I am in the NHS system, still waiting for first consultation with urologist. Tumour is 5cm and possible secondaries on liver. Been given 2 previous appointments that were cancelled. So I just can’t tell how urgent this is.
