Im so sorry James... if I was told today my end is near it would be devastating, Id deal with it but no one can know how that feels unless its really happening to them...but my worry when my time comes is with knowing my loves ones will be sad about it, and as a man Ill always be worried about the financial situation for my wife and family when im gone...but not many of us can say we left a legacy, most of us will die and be forgotten about, but not you, a badass till the end and always remembered and respected...Yes its incredibly sad and most of us watching are teary eyed watching you now...The silver lining here, at least you know your time is coming soon and you can get all your business set with family before you go...God Bless

We don't often get to witness the heart and mind of a warrior in the times that matter. I've had the fortune of knowing warriors in their last moments and I'm humbled deeply seeing the strength of this man ive admired for so long. I can only pray to have a portion of this man's acceptance and resolve in the end. I'm donating what I can and everyone that's learned anything from him should as well.

I started watching james when i was 16 years old im now 34 its wild to think he was almost the same age i am now when i began watching his first videos on youtube. He always replied to my comments on various platforms over the years. invited me to a class on a live stream. His videos had a tremendous impact on the way i lived my life and the career i chose and the way in which i approached things. I never got to go and take that class with him and it weighs heavy on my heart. What a man. I still find myself watching videos and having a good laugh. The world needs more people like james there's no one out there now who you can compare him to. Its such a shame he was taken at such a young age.

Hey James, I met you twice back in 2013, first after Fighting Rifle then at Alumni Weekend. You have been tremendous in my journey with firearms and will continue to do so long into the future. I remember you saw my chest rig and said "No med kit?" I said I had some pieces but not all of it together just yet and you dug around, found a pouch then gave me everything to fill it. You invited me to dinner with you and your wife and other than me being an (incredible) awkward 22 year old it was fantastic, you brought me back to the shop while you did some filming for Jordan and we got to talk one on one for a bit before heading back to the Team Room. I wish I would have prioritized training more so I could have been there more often but your training will be with me forever and my mindset has forever been changed for the better. I cannot wait to tell my son (2 years old now) about you when he is old enough to start following the path. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do, love you man!!

James, over the last 3 years I have taken a couple handfuls of classes at Tactical Response and I've had the pleasure of taking a half dozen of them with you directly. Even the classes you werent scheduled to be there for, you always made an appearance and shot the shit with everyone for a few minutes. My experiences training with you have made me a better shooter and fighter, and my experiences talking with you have made me a more humble and better person. I count myself as blessed to be someone who knows you and has been privileged to train with you. You will be surely missed, and yet you will always be around in the memory and curriculum of the incredible training and school you have built and the good people you have there continuing the legacy. Your demeanor in going through this situation and learning of your own mentality has been awe inspiring. Yet, it just goes along with the moto you preach and live. "Your responsibility to be ready for the fight never ends." Damn if you weren't ready to fight. I know you're no huge fan of modern country music, but a lyric from one comes to mind in this situation. From Toby Keith, Wayman's Song: "You showed me how I'm supposed to live, now you've shown me how to die." Life and death both charged towards and through with perseverance, courage, and care for those around you. Hope to see you soon in Camden, will donate whatever I can towards your FUNdraiser! Miles gloriosus memento vivere!
