I can’t stand folks who say they listen to country but don’t even know who John Prine is. you know who Bob Dylan is cool! Then you oughta know who John Prine is especially if you listen to country music. He was the greatest country song writer that ever was!

I didn’t know a good ol Alabama boy could bring so much soul to a song about the Kentucky Commonwealth. Then again, Jamey Johnson can make any song his own and make it sound perfect!

Very charming performance. She lays out the harmony for him and he doesn't even realize it when he comes back in at first.

Such a wonderful song with a wonderful message: protecting our local people and our local environment from those who care about neither.

I'm from the area Kelsey grew up (Monkeys Eyebrow, KY) and my dad worked at Paradise for TVA when I was kid. She's the real deal. We moved to west Paducah in 1968 when my dad transferred to another TVA plant (Shawnee). I'm always proud to hear her sing. She reminds so much of many people I grew up with.

It’s all that Blake Shelton mess and Garth brooks that pushed people like Jamey Johnson, John Prine, Colter Wall, Cody Jinks, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, and so many more talented artists out of country music. It’s like Mr. Prine said “Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away”

My wife and I saw JP in New York recently. Good show until he called the President of the United States an as#$@*e! Was shocked at this low class comment. Sent him a respectful email explaining that, but he wasn’t man enough to respond. DEPLORABLES and people of opposing political opinions ARE NOT WELCOME AT JOHN PRINE CONCERTS!

Why do performers always have to do that? Fans come to hear the musical genius of John and then he turns around and insults them.

Do you think that " Paradise " is a happy song , or a celebration of coal mining ? To me it seems like a very sad song about corporate greed and environmental degradation . Do you think that Patty Loveless` song , " You`ll Never get out of Harlan Alive " is a happy song about coal mining . To me , it seems to be a song about how coal miners never win , since they often get injured , sick or killed . Prine is a folk singer . They sing protest songs about important stuff , including politics . Have you ever heard Iris Diment ? That kind of singer gets informed , and has strong political views . You have to expect that they will express their views . if you don`t like those views , you probably don`t like them . Stop listening to them . You will be happier and so will they .
