Jamie and Adam did something different for this year's panel at Comic-Con--they omitted having a moderator in favor of talking directly to the fans. For over an hour, they answer questions and show new clips from Mythbusters. We also see Jamie test a new technique for walking through the floor of Comic-Con!

It just makes me wonder what kind of trouble did he get into as a runaway? What happened in his childhood to cause him to be so seemingly detached emotionally? As his biographical description states, "He's turned out to be a responsible man of good character." Sadly in the human diaspora. People who've been through, or dealt with horrible circumstances, rise to a relatively successful level in life due to what they've been through.

That lord of the rings idea is absolutely brilliant from the girl. Can you slide of a elephants trunk like legolas and most of his feats. If there was a body armour that could block a spear, would it also stop the blunt force?(like frodo and mithril) And there's loads I'm probably missing

Love them both, but the dynamic is so boldly displayed on why they don't get along great. Adam can't control himself. His personality is extrovert extreme. Jamie's obviously introverted, but he's the boss, and wants to be respected as such. Adam knows he is the boss, and feels kinda equal, but knows Jamie's smarter on paper, and technically. Adam's humble, but his little brotherly like jabs are just that, but it rubs Jamie the wrong way more than he can stand to be around for long without an audience or camera around. Adam finishes his statements almost every time. It's disturbing that Adam doesn't see that, and won't just stop it. For goodness sake bro.

You guys mention the Tech Shop and hacker/maker spaces. Here in Tulsa, OK we have a place called Fab Lab that is pretty cool. It was started by MIT but is a little pricey IMO. I think its $120 for 10 hours of machine time which includes 3D printers and what not but if you need to 3d print there goes your 100+ bucks on one small project.

I'm so happy I could cry... Well, one tear at least. I mean, the one thing I disliked with the latest seasons is how scripted and silly it had become. I felt like Mythbusters didn't really appeal to a specific target audience after the first couple of seasons, which I think hurt the show more than it would by targeting a more mature audience. Even though shows like these are great for children as well, I think Mythbusters shouldn't specifically focus on that. So I love the fact that they'll be cutting out the silly talks and will be going back to more of the genuine conversations, and showing more of the processes again. Smart choice. They actually listen to us! Yay!

sluggdiddy Honestly I don't see their newest seasons being aimed towards children as much as I see them as being aimed at the 18-25 year old man child that could care less about the content as long as he can tweet hashtags about the explosion he just saw and Kari's tits. Explosions, slow-mo, tits and dubstep is all I get from the episodes now and I can't stand it. If it was that hot I would have 1) Had thin water tubing wrapped around the insides of the suit 2) Fit a small ice Cooler inside the backpack 3) install Pump inside cooler 4) Fill cooler with ice and water 5) and had icy cold water circulating the suit 6) When it gets warm again - drain out warm water - refill with ice and way you go again
@ian-c.01
@ian-c.01 10 жыл бұрын
Phil H Have you any idea how much that would weigh ? Water weighs 1 kilo per litre, I would estimate you would need at least 5 litres (more like 10 to be effective). A couple of computer radiators are about 1kg each plus the pump and controller circuit and then a good sized battery about another 2 to 3kgs. Add that to the weight of the suit and imagine carrying it all round for a couple of hours in a hot convention hall and you can soon see that it probably wouldn't be very effective. Personally I would have sacrificed a little authenticity and had some hidden ventilation in the helmet with a small fan and used mesh panels in the suit with fans in a couple of strategic locations.
@ProjectHellfire1
@ProjectHellfire1 10 жыл бұрын
Ian Clarke nahh, you'll only need to cool the upper body, 3 kilos of ice/water mixture would do the trick......no radiators required, just let the warm water cycle back into the ice cooler and back out again. As for batteries, 3kg?? why would you even want to use a 3kg battery......2 lipo 5000mAh batteries weighing less then 1/2 a kilo would last you well over few hours just powering a small pump.
@ian-c.01
@ian-c.01 10 жыл бұрын
You are expecting an ice cooler to do a lot of quick cooling which is not what they are designed for. I agree that you only really need to cool the water by a few degrees but even that is going to be asking a lot, how much power does this ice cooler need to operate ? Using ice water will chill the person too much initially and would quickly warm up when circulating. A few fans, a pump and a controller would need approximately 50w of power running constantly to be effective so you would need a battery with plenty of spare power that will not heat up in use. Plenty of coolant means it does not heat up quickly and has time to circulate through the rads and be cooled.
@WhoooLovesOrangeSoda
@WhoooLovesOrangeSoda 10 жыл бұрын
Phil H That would take a lot of energy and add a lot of weight. a regular battery wouldnt last that long pumping water like that. Its easier to just have a fan blowing on his face and one blowing hot air out around his lower back. then have a rechargeable brick battery and a pulse width modulator running them. long lasting battery for hours of refreshing air.

The three most important inventions for mankind in the next 50 years would be in the fields of energy, environment and food. 1) We need a stable way of creating and endless amount of energy. 2) We need to fix the environment because no matter how fast or slow the deterioration of our environment evolves, it will eventually become bad enough. 3) When you hear on the news and in the media that the planet is overpopulated, they don't mean we're running out of landmass to live on. What they mean is that we're quickly running out of land mass on which to grow food so we can feed everyone and when that happens we're royally screwed. If we manage to fix all of these three things, the most important invention EVER of the human race will be some kind of technology that allows us to travel faster than the speed of light. With that kind of technology we can populate other solar systems, because let's face it... We will eventually run out of land mass to live on here on earth, the moon is way smaller than the earth and we will eventually have to move on from there, and we're also gonna run out of land mass on Mars. Other than Mars and the moon we don't have very many options within our own solar system. The nearest earth-like planet is 700 light-years away. That's 700 years of travel time at the speed of light just to get to the nearest planet that's anything like our own. If we can travel 100 times the speed of light, we can reach that solar system in just 7 years.

my favorite explosion is without a doubt the one a 1.27 where you first see the huge explosion and fireball, and then right after it look like a second explosion just shoot dirt everywhere. that moment of events is just amazing to watch

Amazing panel! Thank you guys! I believe the next invention that are going to change our way of life, is definitely the mass-production of graphene! It's going to be so awesome! Research it please :)

I love Adam but man if I were Jamie trying to explain the LOX thing, I would've smacked Adam and told him to STFU so I could tell the story.
