To be fair, Armie and Tomothée spent a LOT of time together -- three weeks before shooting began. Also, they decided to prep for all the festival panels so there wasn't any down time and so nobody caught them off guard with questions about same-sex romance or kissing. CMBYN was truly a labor of love for all involved -- James Ivory wrote the screen adaptation and was set to direct, but when producers said they could get the money for Luca Guadagnino, he took a producer credit and moved aside so the film could be made.

It . . . sounds a bit like Jamie Bell is challenging Armie Hammer to some kind of dance contest. But Armie has no confidence in his dancing. The better contest would be between Jamie and Timothee Chalamet -- who does have some training.
