Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins and Robert Sheehan, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones - The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is set to be one of the biggest movie events of the year. Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins, Robert Sheehan and their castmates spent months on soundstages in Toronto shooting the film, having trained for months to get into top physical shape.
Based on the book series by Cassandra Clare, the movie follows Lily Collins' character Clary, a seemingly ordinary teenager living in New York and hanging out with BFF Simon Lewis, played by Robert Sheehan. But Clary's world soon turns upside-down when her mother is kidnapped and she learns the truth behind her family bloodline. Jamie plays Jace in the film, a mysterious and charismatic Shadowhunter.
Tribute.ca caught up with Jamie, Lily and Robert in Toronto to discuss the pressures associated with turning a bestseller into a film, the "wow" factor of seeing their special effects film come together and the importance of having author Cassandra Claire around for moral support.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie synopsis:
Clarissa "Clary" Fray (Lily Collins) has been living quietly in Brooklyn for as long as she can remember, when she suddenly begins to see startling and seemingly impossible things. Just as suddenly, her single mom (Lena Headey) disappears after a violent struggle. As she and her best friend Simon (Robert Sheehan) search for her mother, Clary begins to uncover the dark secrets and darker threats in the hidden world of the Shadowhunters, angel-human warriors who have protected humanity from evil forces for centuries.
Surrounded by demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other supernatural denizens of the Shadow World, Clary joins forces with young Shadowhunters Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower), Isabelle (Jemima West) and Alec (Kevin Zegers) to locate and protect an ancient Cup that holds the key to her mother's future. Discovering abilities and courage she never knew she possessed, the young woman surprises even herself as she proves to be a formidable opponent against an array of deadly adversaries.

I've never actually thought of him as being full of himself I think that's just his type of humour. I'm not fanatical about the books. Yeah I read them, but while I like them, I'm not fanatical. However this movies it was great as its own entity. It was fun, adventure and action packed. Honestly, if people stopped using the YA tag and the "next twilight" tag this would be taking off. It is a really good fantasy movie!
