The game I watched.. 100 million pound Declan rice looked like a pub player for 90 minutes and didn’t make one progressive pass forward or create anything, Bellingham lost the ball trying to dribble and show off, and Denmark put a player on Trent every time England had the ball, which nullified him. He did however make Englands best run through midfield and best long pass to create a chance for Saka. Where is the criticism of Rice and Bellingham? Why is Trent being singled out. He wasn’t the worst performer in the midfield vs Denmark, that was golden boy Declan Rice who can do no wrong. Trent is the easy one to blame because the media already have their agenda , Neville and Keane have been harsh lately with their anti Liverpool agenda.

Let's be honest Carragher is a die hard Liverpool fan. I don't think he's ever had a none biased opinion based on a Liverpool player or something to do with Liverpool. There's a reason he ain't a manager. He's got a loud voice but not a tactical tbought in him. That being said. Southgates experiment has not worked. Managers got it wrong. Carraghers young players pov is flawed. Look at the likes of Spain, and a few others playing teenagers in the squad. They are killing it. We have 2 very talented teenagers on the bench. One has shown he can help run a game at united. The other has shown they are very good at disrupting and building from the back. That being said. I think you put Wharton in for Trent get him sitting let rice go back and forth. Mainoo can do a similar job however if you want that security in front of defence. Wharton edges him in that.
