_A Soul Can't Be Cut_ has always been a song about Raiden's inner conflict about finding any sense of inner peace with himself due to his desires for heroism despite his gruesome and efficient butchery in everyday combat with Maverick Security Consulting Incorporated; the PMC he signed up for. In short, he struggles to see himself as the hero of his own story, literally because of how much of a terrifying kickass he is in the way of the sword. In a way, it's also meant to ironically portray his acceptance "letting it out for a bit - Ripper style," as demonstrated through your awesome remix. Ever since Raiden came to find inner peace with his own brutality, he ironically became an even stronger force for the greater good than ever before. *_"I'd say it's time for Jack... TO LET 'ER RIP!"_*

@@SIGNOR-GSpotify says that the singer for Raiden’s version is Kit Walters, the guy who sang Stains of Time, and the singer for Sam’s version is Tyson Yen, who sang The Only Thing I Know For Real. While we’re on this topic, Jimmy Gnecco sang both Collective Consciousness and It Has To Be This Way, and James Charles Miller sang both Rules of Nature and Red Sun.
