I’m happy that this role went to an honest and honorable family man. Young, single heartthrobs are fine, but it’s refreshing to see a man whose true happiness lies with his wife, child, and long-time friends. With his claim to fame being intense characters like Paul Spector and Christian Grey, his down-to-earth personality gives him class and respectability. I don’t think the fame will go to his head, and I really hope Hollywood doesn’t try to corrupt him. He’s too good for media propaganda.

Kriti Manglani I just finished re-reading Darker two days ago and I forgot how much material will have to be covered in the film. I think Darker is going to really be interesting, because we'll get to see Ana and Christian's relationship grow on an emotional level as well as a psychological one. Certainly on Christian's part we're going to see what her leaving him in the first novel/film did to him and how that shaped his decision to want more of a real relationship versus a dom/sub agreement. Can't wait to see Fifty Shades Darker and I think it's going to be even better than the first one, which I really enjoyed.

Marion Harris Obviously it will be much better and intense. umm..Vanilla Relationship? :). In the first series, it's more about their meeting and the Dom/sub relationship they share, so it was kinda boring or just fine. With the next series their actual love story will start. So I think it will be fun to watch that. And I'm waiting eagerly for the other sequel to release. Just so you know? ;)

MJBABYPHAT I was very pleased with Dakota and Jamie's performances in FSOG and can't wait to see where they take their characters in Darker and Freed. One scene I thought for sure would get cut was the glider scene. I thought the only scene we'd get would be flying in the Charlie Tango helicopter and that would be it. I was pleasantly surprised when the first teaser trailer hit and one of the first things we saw was the glider scene. If we're this happy with how the first film turned out, I think Darker is going to be very interesting to see on the big screen.

He is so different to his character of Christian Grey. I cant see how someone attracted to the Christian Grey character can be attracted to Jamie Dorman. They are just so different. i believe there might be some insecurities with this woman because he is an actor and he is going to perform sex scenes especially at this point in his career. I am not sure what she expects but if he continues to act, she is going to have to get comfortable with him playing certain roles. Interesting this was brought up because there is a great parallel between the Fall (BBC series) and 50 shades (movie). In 50 shades, Jamie was rich and therefore able to channel his aggression and anger through S&M activity. In the Fall, the same aggression and anger existed for Paul Spector. Spector was molested and abandoned as a child similar to Christian's background in 50 shades where he also was abandoned and abused as a child. However, as a poor person, Spector was not exposed to positive or healthy activity which would have given him the release he so desperately needed. And as a result of not having a place to release his anger and aggression positively, Spector turned to violence and sexual deviance to release his anger. On a side note, it is worthy to note that Christian's sexual activity in 50 shades was not by all means considered othodox which is the major reason why he kept it hidden and guarded (e.g. the non disclosures and the submissive dominant contracts). I often wonder when I watch 50 shades, which is sometimes often, what would have happened to Chrisitian had he not been adopted, would he have entered into crime and sexual deviance like Spector ? or would he have just perservered and just found a positive outlet of releasing his anger and aggression, thoughts?????

Anushri Shukla Yeah that's a question, why did she allow her husband to play that role as CG? Was he not discussing the nature of this movie first to his wife(especially the love scenes)before he signed the contract? I guessed she must have been so very glad to receive the big pay check of her husband's earning without even imagining/knowing that this movie can maybe create a kind of insecurity feeling(to herslef)of losing him to his female counterpart? It's maybe possible but in Dakota's side that's nonsense!
