Lyrics: Can I, can I save you from you 'Cause you know there's something missing And that champagne you've been sippin's Not supposed to make you different all the time It's starting to feel like the wrong thing to do girl 'Cause with all that recognition it gets hard for you to listen To the things that I must say to make you mine But live girl, have some fun girl, we'll be fine Trying to convince myself I've found one Making the mistake I never learned from I swear I, always, fall, for your type, yeah (for your type) Tell me why I, always, fall, for your type (for your type) I just can't explain this shit at all (fall for your type) I just can't explain this shit at all (fall for your type) So who am I to judge you on the past, girl I bet there's a reason for it all You say that you're nothing like the last girl I just pray that you don't let me down right now It's too late, I'm already yours You just gotta promise me, hearts won't break And end up like before I swear I, always, fall, For your type, yeah (for your type) Tell me why I, always, fall, For your type (for your type) Uh yeah uh Look, dress hanging off your shoulder, barely sober Telling me how you moving away and starting over Girl, quit playing you just drunk, you just saying shit Oh you dance, dance like how, like ballet and shit Oh, wait, no, I get it girl, I'm with it I've been down this road before and yeah I skidded but forget it Damn, damn, I wonder why I never learned my lesson It's feeling like the second chance and its the first impression And I heard it's nothing new except for someone new But how you supposed to find the one when anyone will come with you Talking to myself but I never listen, 'Cause man it's been a while, and I swear that this ones different That's why I'ma take you anywhere you wanna go Let you meet my friends so they can lecture me again about How reckless I have been And I'm slowly running out of all the time that I invested Making all the same mistakes And I'm just trying to correct it and I fall I swear I, always, fall, for your type, for your type Tell me why I, always, fall, for your type, for your type I just can't explain this shit at all (fall for your type) I just can't explain this shit at all (fall for your type)

One of the things I love most about this song is the young naivety of the lyrics. I'm the same age as Drake and it's fascinating listening to the his lyrics knowing that that is how I felt or approached relationships at the time (2010). It's crazy how raw, open and optimistic I was. If anything, age and experience has made me more cynical and it takes me a long time to build up any kind of trust. I do miss the feeling of being that open and this song gives me a special reminder of that

One of the best songs ever to be produced in the 2010s. One of the beautiful bridge songs between 2000's and 2010's r&b styles. I hope this doesn't get lost in t he next 15 years. The drake adlibs. The slow BPM. Masterful.

love this slow-jam it breaks my heart all over again to hear it,but the mind is taken back to better times, and the soul realizes its lost its mate.............when u miss them, but cant go back, must stay focused on whats ahead........my past im trying slowly to forget it all,but remembering it more instead.............depressed af now gotta get myself up,and find chores to do,more working, less thinking, and feeling.........i have to.....

Who gives cares? Honestly after 2020, it's rude to make it so apparent how much time you have on your hands. 🙏 Pray for those who have endured tragic loss.

@@VentureWelding wtf where all on quarantine I think it's obvious how much extra time we all have on our hands. Honestly the only thing I'm gonna pray for is that people like you stop leaving dumb ass comments that don't pertain to you or make any sense! I lost a family member to covid and I'm not offended by this!

Can I, can I save you from you 'Cause you know there’s something missing And that champagne you’ve been sippin’s Not supposed to make you different all the time It’s starting to feel like the wrong thing to do girl 'Cause with all that recognition it gets hard for you to listen To the things that I must say to make you mine But live girl, have some fun girl, we’ll be fine Trying to convince myself I’ve found one Making the mistake I never learned from I swear I always fall for your type, yeah (for your type) Tell me why I always fall for your type (for your type) I just can’t explain this shit at all (fall for your type) I just can’t explain this shit at all (fall for your type) So who am I to judge you on the past, girl I bet there’s a reason for it all You say that you’re nothing like the last girl I just pray that you don’t let me down right now It’s too late, I’m already yours You just gotta promise me, hearts won’t break And end up like before I swear I always fall for your type, yeah (for your type) Tell me why I always fall for your type (for your type) Look, dress hanging off your shoulder, barely sober Telling me how you moving away and starting over Girl, quit playing you just drunk, you just saying shit Oh you dance, dance like how, like ballet and shit Oh, wait, no, I get it girl, I’m with it I’ve been down this road before and yeah I skidded but forget it Damn, yeah, I wonder why I never learned my lesson It’s feeling like the second chance and it's the first impression And I heard it’s nothing new except for someone new But how you supposed to find the one when anyone will come with you Talking to myself but I never listen, 'Cause man it’s been a while, and I swear that this ones different That’s why I’mma take you anywhere you wanna go Let you meet my friends so they can lecture me again about How reckless I have been And I’m slowly running out of all the time that I invest in Making all the same mistakes And I’m just trying to correct it and I fall... I swear I always fall for your type, for your type Tell me why I always fall for your type, for your type I just can’t explain this shit at all (fall for your type) I just can’t explain this shit at all (fall for your type)
