That’s because Eric released the LP under his stage name instead of his Real Name. Had the album been titled Eric Bishop, it would have sold.

I miss the old BET days, around 1991 to half of 1995 I missed out on watching music videos my dad was assigned overseas in Japan. In 1995, it felt great to get cable on base and watch music videos again I believe I saw Jamie Foxx video on Midnight Love or Video Vibrations.

I thought this was a descent album. Everyone thought that "Unpredictable" was his 1st album when it dropped. I tried to tell/remind people of his '94 Album that was released to very disappointing sales. I personally think it's because nobody was ready to accept him as a singer. Or even a sex symbol. Back then he was "the funny guy." But by his second album (which he didn't attempt until 11 years later) he had expanded his acting and done more serious roles, which I think helped his image as far as being serious. I suspect the people behind the 2nd project, felt they were taking a big risk. And I'm sure Jamie was nervous as well. After all, an artist puts a lot of themselves into an album. Especially if they write their own material which Jamie does. So rejection can hurt and have a lasting effect. It can almost be taken personally. U see how long it took him to try again after the 1st flop. But as u know, it was a huge success (I think his most successful) as well as his follow up projects.
