Matt Lenihan for Boxing Social caught up with Chantelle Cameron’s head trainer Jamie Moore in Belfast. Jamie spoke on the fight and highlighted his disappointment in the referee in relation to the knockdown and lack warnings due to head clashes. He showed respect for Katie Taylor and hopes that a trilogy fight can be made down the line. He also talks about Cameron Vuong fighting in Belfast and predicts Michael Conlan vs. Jordan Gill.

I'm a fan of Chantelle but she lost the fight, end of. Katie was holding on alot but Chantelle threw 5-6 rabbit punches. She got the two biggest payday's of her career and her profile has risen dramatically. Would like to see her move to a new trainer, someone like Peter Fury. I think she could be even better.

The holding was done by both and was by NO means so excessive that there needed to be a points deduction, it happened more so in the last two rounds. I thought on the night that it was quite a 'close' fight. But on looking at the whole fight again in the cool, clear light of the morning....Katie won it. She didn't win it 'hands down'. But she definitely won the fight by a couple of rounds. The rest of the *'noise & whinging'* out there about Katie 'headbutting' Chantelle & Katie 'holding on' etc.....is just bullshit. People need to remember that however you slice it, intentional clinching in boxing is illegal. No ifs or buts. Not Katie's fault as she was allowed to do so. Referees need to brush up on the rules as they have become increasingly tolerant of it. It's not a fighter's job to negate a clinch time and time again when trying to work inside. Either way it sets it up for an entertaining trilogy.

Taylor won that fight regardless of whether it was a knocdown or not. Jamie is scraping the bottom of the barrel complaining about a smaller, shorter, less powerful fighter holding Chantelle. The real issue here is Ross Enamait outsmarted Jamie & Nigel by taking away Cameron's jab & once Taylor done that Chantelle did not adapt. Add into the mix the surprise of Taylor's handspeed & ability to counter. Cameron used elbows, forearms & punches repeatedly to the back of the head as a tactic but Jamie seems to forget this? A good big one beats a good little one....not in this time.

I do agree with Jamie to some degree about the ref allowing Taylor holding too much but hey it’s boxing and it happens…but for me Taylor did too Cameron what Cameron did too Taylor in the first fight jumped on the opponent from the first round and bossed the fight onwards. I also think Cameron’s bad head clash and cut made Cameron further panic but Taylor was just too accurate and fast catching Cameron as she came forward For me also I just didn’t think Taylor had such a great performance still in her…so well done Taylor great performance and well deserved regaining her titles. I’m a boxing fan and Jamie Moore has been very diplomatic here. Katie got away with a lot and that’s why she was able to get the decision. If you don’t get that you’re just extremely biased. There was only one fighter going in with the head yet they both got told to “watch your heads. A decent ref would’ve warned Katie. Chantelle’s wounds tell you who was going in with the head. Katie again was grabbing and holding for much of the fight, good tactic as enabled her to hit with her combos and prevent Chantelle from countering. But the ref didn’t do his job very well and that definitely affected the fight in Katie’s favour

I like Jamie, he always looks out for his fighters and knows the game extremely well. I do agree that the referee was weak but even with the knockdown, Katie won the fight. Not by a mile but she won it. If they don't want the next fight in Ireland, then they shouldn't have agreed to have this second fight in Ireland, as they dictated the venue after Chantelle won the 1st fight. Don't have it in Saudi, that does the fans no good. I think having it in a football ground in either London or Newcastle would work as it's easy travel for everyone. Final point, if they don't want head clashes in women's boxing, have 3 minute rounds! This way they can box and move instead of having to slog it out toe to toe which results in holding and head clashes. It's that simple.

Whether it was scored a knockdown or not the right fighter won on the night, the same as the right fighter won the last fight. As for the holding, Chantelle Cameron was marauding forward constantly so every time Katie Taylor stood her ground to engage it was inevitable they would come together, resulting in a clinch. Chantelle Cameron used the elbow many times as well as constantly punching to the back of the head. The only surprise for me was 1 judge scored it 95-95, I expected Katie Taylor to have won on all 3 judges scorecards.

If chantelle can sell 50,000 tickets then have the fight in the UK. But she can't. I doubt she'd sell out an indoor arena to be honest. Amazing fighter but she just doesn't have a country behind her like Katie does.

Disappointed in Jamie here complaining about Katie Tactics & poor Refereeing etc. The first fight was also close in Dublin & Chantelle won Katie definitely did enough to win this Fight.Chantelle went in over confident & paid the Price - End of Story. As for a rematch Katie is now the Champion so its obviously now on her terms.I would be very surprised if she gives Chantelle a third fight think Eddie Hearn might talk her out of it

Jamie Moore speaks sense, it was a highly controversial fight. Just the knockdown being denied makes it controversial, so why are there comments here saying it wasn't controversial? If it was scored a knockdown the fight would have changed a LOT. The head was going in quite a bit with katie and she was holding excessively. But reading the comments here and on twitter, the Katie taylor fanboy people are turning things into hatred against chantelle, instead of accepting it was a very controversial fight and very close they are calling it a completely fair fight and everything was okay with it. I don't imagine Chantelle would ever want to fight Katie back in Ireland with the way Irish fans are reacting to how she feels at the moment.

when you watch the video back you can clearly see Taylor stumbled over Cameron's foot as it was right close on the inside of Taylor's foot...when Taylor went to back away from Cameron's punch she fell off balance...the punch landed in her chest. Cameron either tripped her accidently or deliberately.

They never expected to get a close decision in Ireland, yet they won a close decision in the first fight IN IRELAND. knockdown or not , taylor won the fight. 6-3 taylor going into the 10th , so with the knockdown given she would still have to win the 10th to get a draw .She was the better fighter on the night. When they won rhe first fight they celebrated in the face of taylor . More so than they would have if theyd beaten any other fighter and that showed in the rematch when they lost they left the arena . Disrespectful winners and sore losers .

Chantelle put up her belts, Katie didn't, Chantelle gave up home advantage twice, Katie didn't. Katie was knocked down and grabbed all through the fight, Chantelle didn't. Jamie is bang on, fight in a neutral venue or in England, otherwise you are looking for all the advantages again and not willing to put your belts on the line.

Taylor is the draw. Taylor tripped over Cameron's foot is what it looked like to me. Cameron grabbed as well and was dragging Taylor by the arm in one of the early rounds then complained to the ref Taylor was holding. Cameron was throwing elbows forearms hitting the back of the head continually...she got away with it so Moore can't say a thing really.
