I love the way all this is explained. I’ve learned so much and am doing my best to teach others. I’ve been following Jamie for two years.

I have listened to your testimonies and teachings. They are SO life giving. Will you ever come to South Africa because what you say will reach so many people here ….. the perfect way to reach people in our amazing country. Missionaries and so many teachers bring the western mindset and not how Jesus would reach and touch people!

Is there going to be a part 2? I feel like this ended but there was more he was sharing.

In Mark 1 when you say it’s the Gospel of God do you mean where Jesus says it in verse 15? Because all the translations I look at verse 1 says the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I’m really curious by Jamie’s statement of how the Scriptures were read being Torah - Prophets, Revelation, Paul’s letters, and then the Gospels. Does anyone have any “proof” of this? I’m really interested in that.

what "proof" are you looking for? I am sure there is a lot of research and writings on this. I am betting there is a (or are) a book out there with this information. just with a bing search I got: The Second Century faith fathers read Scripture in various ways. Irenaeus, for example, related Scripture to several Christian writings, including texts that were not ultimately canonized. Other fathers, such as Origen, Jerome, John Chrysostom, and Cyril of Alexandria, also had different approaches to interpreting Scripture, which differed from modern hermeneutics a book: Reading Scripture Like the Early Church: Seven Insights from the Church Fathers to Help You Understand the Bible = Reading Scripture like the church fathers involves participatory metaphysics1. The early Church Fathers had unique approaches to interpreting the Holy Scriptures, and their methods can be learned from their teachings I haven't read it. But thought I would at least reply for you. :)

@@jrs7223 Iya I searched on google but didn't find much. Even the bing search you gave doesn't necessarily suggest this order. It just suggests they read it in a different manner. The way Pak Jamie made it sound was that it was common knowledge that we could find. I'm just curious what information/data he is basing his comment on since it is very "counter-cultural" to how we maybe grew up learning to read the Bible. I like to have solid evidence for claims such as these as on paper they sound nice, but without credible sources they erode the argument being made.

@@hudsonafarrell you're right, the bing search doesn't say THIS is the way. In fact, I know other people who also study the early church fathers say they taught as western culture teaches today. And some may have had an emphasis on money, protecting your own family while shunning others, slavery even! We are human and definitely have had the same mindset since pretty much the beginning. Jamie often talks about the mystery of God and the unending knowing by Him. He also speaks about certainty being a killer of true experiential knowing because what God will do is NOT what we believe will work. Typically, our culture does look for concrete, certainty. I am paraphrasing here. From my experience, what Jamie says is hard for people looking for concrete certainty to grasp. I am not saying do not research. Def do your own research. Jamie does research lol. It is a beautiful thing. You should! Asking God himself is amazing and listening to what He has to say about it. What fruit does each outcome bear? Does it look like Jesus? Where do you start with what you believe about God? What each person believes going into research creates different outcomes. The worldview we believe, connected or separated?
