When i got married in 1999, my sister-in-law was my maid of honor, and she also was kind enough to do my makeup for my wedding. She worked for Stila at the time, and she was a fantastic MUA. I have absolutely no memory of what my makeup looked like, but i do remember thinking it was very beautiful. However, i do like pretty glam looks for everyday, with dramatic eyes and lips, and she did more of a softer "traditional" bridal look (which is probably why it was so forgettable for me). If i could go back and do it again, i would still have her do my makeup, but instead of telling her to just do what she wanted to do, i would tell her to do something sexy and bold and closer to my typical aesthetic. Most importantly, i would do a deep red lip, which is something that not only i love, but my husband has always loved on me as well.

Beautiful 😍 id add that people should start a skin care routine months before the big day, and only use exfoliating (chemical) products in the days leading up that don’t cause you to purge (same with a professional facial - some can quickly bring up the gunk so be cautious what type of facial you get!) x

I got married October 2018, and wore naked pallet 3. The beautiful pink/deep purple. Totally agree, the pinks are so timeless and look amazing on everyone! Absolutely stunning. Let you into a secret, I got married in Jamaica at 4pm and I didn’t wear sunscreen under my makeup either. Sandals salon did my make up and did everything possible to avoid flashback. She made me promise not to touch up with my Bare Minerals Mineral veil because she said it would flashback. I’d absolutely love to see another version with the Essential palette for people that prefer those tones. I love pinks and I want the muse, but I wouldn’t wear pinks on my self for bridesmaid or wedding. It would be the tones in the Essential palette. I think I’ve got the lip dew for Xmas, but Brat with treasure is now my most used lip combination, in fact it’s all I’ve worn since my birthday in August when I got them 😂x
