“I lost myself in loving you” is my most personal song to date. Falling in love is amazing right? We’ve all been there. Getting your heart broken? The worst pain imaginable in 2020/2021 I got my heart broken and lost myself so much I can’t even explain .. if you know me I’m the most happiest go lucky guy in the world but these past few months I’ve been so sad, down and became a version of myself I hated .. I wrote this song I lost myself in loving you because that exact situation and writing it was the most insane experience of my life. I put my heart on paper and came up with this song.. hope you enjoy Jamie x

My ex's parents died at the early age and the only relatives he have is her aunt which is fighting for last stage of cancer. we're in a long distance relationship so I understand if sometimes he can't message me due to his situation. All through out i was there for him, giving all the comfort he needs and giving him assurance that he can start a new life with me after college. Whenever i was about to leave him that's when he starts being clingy and all to me, he only loves me whenever the thought of leaving him will occur me. I did the things i didn't even imagine doing so, but i tried to convince myself that i was doing it for love. I attempt to leave but whenever i do he'll beg me and my soft heart will melt to it and a series of same treatment to me. I still vividly remember the night we talked and i asked him this jaw dropping question, "If i fight for what we have, will it be worth it?" then he answered me without a second thought "Yes" then I asked him back "How?" he said "Idk" before leaving me on read. I believe his promise as the only thing i know that time is I love him and giving my world to him is just nothing and won't cost that much but when it was my turn of breaking down he was not there for me and worst, ignored my messages for a couple of days without even explanation. then his friend messaged me convincing me to stay with him, as according to that friend I am his world but then i crossed this song which became my eye opener, that i shouldn't stay with a man who can't be there for me whenever i needed him the most and a man who keeps on making me feel less as a woman, i realized it is not my responsibility to be his entertainer, slave or whatsoever. I deserve more than that!

When this song started it was the voice that had me first, then the words told my own story back to. To love with your all and bending rules, skipping red flags to be with who we care for feels wonderful but nothing beats when we've changed for this one person who didn't want to sacrifice even their conscience to stay true to us after losing who we truly are to love them. (Sometimes they don't even worth it but it's the love we feel for them we go by). This song was beautifully put together. Well done. Amazing voice to back that up.
