I watched the movie last night and I was all for it , the only part that let me down is when he showed up for prom he didn’t show up in drag he just showed up in a dress - which was a real let down as the real character went to prom in full geish wig make up lashes everything which as the fictional character just showed up in a white dress - it harks back to a comment one of the gays said in the documentary ‘you have to have an act or your just a pretty boy in a dress’ so for me that scene let the whole movie down, however the documentary for me is timeless so relevant even after ten years and his mum is just the best thing anyone could want in a mum bless the pair of them
