The teapot with the missing lid is from the Hall Autumn Leaf pattern created for Jewel Tea Co. The Jewel Tea company sold staples like coffee, tea, sugar, flour, door-to-door starting in the 1930's. The more you bought from them, the more coupons they would give you that you could trade in for items like the china dishes. My mother had a full service for 8 and collected many more rare pieces such as that teapot with its matching creamer and sugar bowl. I've always loved the Fall Leaf pattern!

We went to the bins in San Luis Obispo CA & Oxnard CA and neither one hand quilts/ blankets no type of nothing of bedding but I did find 3 packs of new pillow cases that's it ! We only go 1x a months because we live 3 hrs away ! But I love the bins I get a thrill just digging and finding good stuff ! I'm not the type to run & shove or just snatch something out of someones hands ! I'm kinda a laid back person let them do the hard work then I go and search I'm looking for old crusty vintage stuff & I usually get it ! ❤

Such a shame about the missing lid to that teapot, it was very unique. Interesting that the bins have been slimmer on finds recently. The dresser looks lovely and even better in-situ in the shop. All the best for continuing to sell those mystery boxes!

I think the square wooden bowl might be a chopping board for a mezzaluna (a curved knife with handles at both ends, and you rock it back and forth to cut herbs).

I ‘m just wondering Zeb, when you sand either with the sander or by hand , is the lower the number of the grit on the sand paper does that mean it’s a harder grit and the higher the number on the grit on the sand paper are they the more delicate grit?

I was thinking about that kind of thing when I was at the bins today. I live in Michigan and I saw so many gloves and mittens. Even if they had to be washed for potential lice, it would be better than seeing kids freezing out on the playground.
