I must've died and gone to heaven 'Cause it was a quarter past eleven On a Saturday in 1999 Right across from where I'm standing On the dance floor she was landing It was clear that she was from another time Like some baby Barbarella With the stars as her umbrella She asked me if I'd like to magnetize Do I have to go star-trekking 'Cause it's you I should be checking So she laser beamed me with her cosmic eyes She's just a cosmic girl From another galaxy My heart's at zero gravity She's from a cosmic world Putting me in ecstasy Transmitting on my frequency She's cosmic I'm scanning all my radars We'll she said she's from a quasar Forty thousand million light years away It's a distant solar system I tried to phone but they don't list 'em So I asked her for a number all the same She said, step in my transporter So I can teleport ya All around my heavenly body This could be a close encounter I should take care not to flounder Sends me into hyperspace, when I see her pretty face She's just a cosmic girl From another galaxy My heart's at zero gravity She's from a cosmic world Putting me in ecstasy Transmitting on my frequency She's cosmic Sends me into hyperspace when I see her pretty face Sends me into hyperspace when I see her pretty face Sends me into hyperspace when I see her pretty face Sends me into hyperspace when I see her pretty face She's just a cosmic girl From another galaxy Transmitting on my frequency yeah cosmic, oh Can't you be my cosmic woman? I need you, I want you to be my cosmic girl For the rest of time

ok - i dont want to argue but isn't it strange how i disagree with everything you say. I think a funk odyssey is their 2nd best album after synkronyzed. You obviously think the total opposite. It's kinda wierd seing as its the same band- i think the newer albums are just moving on-people would get bored if they stayed the same forever.

I might be wrong, but you seem to be judging Jay Kay's whole career from watching this video? Jay's voice has somewhat changed over the last 20 years. Try watching/listening to these early performances: Jamiroquai - If I Like it, I Do It [Rare Live] Jamiroquai - Half The Man (Live at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, 05.11.1994) 9-12 I wouldn't say he had a limited vocal range.

Google wikipedia ivan rebroff and you'll learn alot. It appears that we are absolutely on different pages. Besides, one cannot compare apples and peaches. Both are fruit, edible and delightful but with totally different flavours, looks, and textures. No sense or point in debating. You enjoy your music and I'll enjoy mine. Oh, and please, try and improve your vocabulary by leaving out the filth, it's not becoming to anyone. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
It's IVAN REBROFF not GROPINOV. Your'e wrong on more than that pal. I'm from the LONE STAR State, TEXAS ! We are NOT the world leaders in music.Europe preceeds us with Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelsohn, Grieg, SHubert, Mozart and 100's more. YES WE are leaders in CWM and we do have wonderful talented artists and yes everybody has their own preference to music type. Clearly you are limited in knowledge. Suggestion, take the stage effects away and what's left? NOTHING! U Got it now ding bat?
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
IVAN was NOT Russian but German.His voice Ranged over 5 Octaves.Google it u self. And no, he's dead now but even from his grave he is still able to entertain millions.Jason can never rely solely on his voice, it's the band, effects and computer technology that does it for him. IVAN didn't need anything like that! Cossack Patrol was just to show you what REAL TALENT is all about.There's nothing wrong with Jason,he's just not my cup of tea and thats all plus facts staring you in the face.
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
I've no idea what your comment means or is about. I AM ABSOLUTELY AGAINST ABORTION !! Dont suck crap out of your thumb, unless you know something I don't ! What the dickens are you even talking about? ABORTION IS BAD !! VERY BAD and I repeat .. I AM 100% AGAINST it. So please let me know where you found this horror attached to my name in anyway so that I can remove it immediately. Thank you. I am grossly offended by any such crap attached or linked to me name.
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
That still does not make him a legend will last through out history! Don't confuse modern technology and stage effects with a person's vocals. There is absolutely NO comparison between him and IVAN REBROFF. IVAN did not need stage effects to mesmerize his audiance. His range of voice did it. Compare apples for apples and not technology thats all I'm trying to say. In fact there is nothing unique with your idol's voice.Take away the stage effects and look at what's left = NOTHING.

What a voice!
@eylahtan12 жыл бұрын
who the fuck is Ivan Rebroff? Did he ever wrote some notable stuff? Or just another lucky guy who had an extraordinary voice and wasted it by singing some folk eurotrash rubbishing songs? Get yourself a break, Jay Kay is a complete musician, with great lyrics, entartaining songs and vivid on stage shows.
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
Just because we have different tastes in music DOES NOT make me a bad-ass. I stick with what I say, this kind of singer will NOT go down in history. Here today and gone tomorrow. Very limited vocal range in octave + lyrics suck, ziltch in melody but 100% for Trance inducing Noise. Must say, he's good lookin though! :-)
@romulus_16 жыл бұрын
indeed. hopefully MJ doesn't fall into the typical pop crap that's out now..I have a bad feeling that there will be all kinds of 'featuring' tracks including idiots like Akon, T-Pain and the rest of these no talent hacks/wannabe's. I have faith that the new Jamiroquai album will be a return to greatness.
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
Nothing is wrong, just not my type of entertainer. Compared to Ivan Rebroff - Cossack Patrol. Now here's a singer .. His voice rangers over 4.5 Octovers, thats 90% of the piano! Artist like Ivan will never fade. Search youtube for this artist. He is also 6.5 feet tall or nearly 2 meters.
@buckingham194812 жыл бұрын
Thats because there is nothing special about him. Entertainers like this are a dime a dozen or common as muck. And only reiterates what I've said previously. Just another fade, here today and gone to morrow. He sure won't go down in history.
