Zapp Rogerstein I think they need each other. It;s no surprise that the 'band' now puts out one mediocre album every five years. When Stu, Simon Katz, D-zire left (and eventually Wallace and Toby), the sound and vibe everyone loved was lost. That's why nobody really gives a fuck about Jamiroquai anymore. They had something totally unique...but since 2001 they've been a largely funkless dinosaur disco band. If JK wants to reinvigorate the band, he should jump on to the "it's the 90's again bandwagon", reunite the original crew and do a tour for everybody who would've killed to have seen the most killing funk band ever to come out of Britain. Surely he's not too daft to recognise there's a huge appetite for that?
@romulus_9 жыл бұрын
I think you overestimate the amount that he cares about making music. He's filthy rich and has been on cruise control for a while. He did his work when he was young and now he can kick back.

This was the first concert I was ever at! How did this make it to KZbin? Was it bootlegged off the big screens? I don't remember it being released. The mix sounds really thin, I remember this show as being bombastic. That bassline kicking in on Revolution was LOUD and had the place going nuts. Anyway. 14 year old me is down in front in that crowd. High as a kite.

This must have been Mr Zender's last gig with Jamiroquai, right? It's the last gig of the tour and as far as I know, there weren't any gigs in 1998. Can anyone confirm? From the two tiny clips I've heard from the original 4th album, Stu's departure was a really, really sad day for music. I think the album they would have put out would have been an entirely new funk.
