“Katai” is a pun for “hard/stiff” and “Makoto” is a pun for “true/real,” so his name is a pun for “truly stiff.” The notebook that Najimi gave to Komi in the beginning is a parody reference to “Natsume Yuujin-cho” (Natsume Book of Friends), the anime where a boy befriends and frees many supernatural creatures that are bound to the book.

Was wondering when you'd get back to this, enjoying the season so far but Yamai is kinda dampening my enjoyment with how frequent she is in it - like, let Nakanaka have her own moment dammit! Also Komi's better than I am because I wouldn't have hesitated to rank Nakanaka above her, you can't put her equal to Yamai when the last time they went around her house Tadano was tied up kidnapped in her closet a whisker away from being 'taken to the mountains'. The season has a new opening and ending, but low key would've preferred if Najimi's intro was the opening for Season 2 XD Also need more of that mid-episode card stuff

Naka x Yama is easily one of my favourite ships in this series. Their dynamic is great, it's a ton of fun anytime they're together. Also, season 3 is gonna have some of the best moments in the show for real.
