In case you didn't know, the higher the number of the magic spell, the more powerful it is and more time and technique is needed to perform it. Aizen made the spell number 90/100, without reciting the conjurament, only in name, this is impossible to a captain in general, just the fact of making a spell beyond the number 90 or more is something legendary

Well, it is generally true that higher numbered kido ARE more powerful the number is a ranking of the difficulty of the spell not necessarily the raw power of the spell. But naturally a kido spell that's harder to perform but weaker would be pointless except for purposes of showing off your skill at kido so the higher ranked spells end up being having greater effect. I'm pretty sure Kubo gave numbers to show how SKILLED a practitioner of kido is. In some cases higher difficulty spells do have lesser effects such as Tenteikura which Isane used in this episode. Its #77 indicating very high difficulty but all it does is let you talk to people you choose to connect to it. A magic PA system and its waaay up at #77.

This arc is easily my favorite. Byakuya hides it well, but he was easily the most conflicted character in this entire arc. His promise to his wife and his promise to his parents put him in a really shitty spot. He easily could have kept fighting Ichigo, but a part of him really wanted to lose. He wanted someone to save her, because he didn't know what to do himself.

Unfortunately, there's a whole 55 episodes of filler after this, so it's good that you're skipping that.
