@thedoctor65833 жыл бұрын
No, bi and pan are synonyms, some people use them in different ways but they all just boil down to: attracted to people regardless of their gender. I am bi, I am attracted to people regardless of gender and every bi person I know feels that way too. This myth needs to go away.

Dating a trans guy doesn‘t *make* anyone pan. Identifying as pan is something that has to do with your own sexuality. A cis gay man dating a trans guy is still gay. A straight cis girl dating a trans guy is still straight. A cis pan girl dating a trans man is pan.

EXACTLY! One of my close friends is pan and she is dating my non-binary bro and like, she was pan before they started dating??? Because that's her sexuality??? The birth name thing strikes a sore memory for me My ex (a trans man) never mentioned his birth name, and I didn't really care to ask. But one time we went to dinner with him at his dad's place, and his semi-drunken dad decided to go on a fatherly rant about the history of his "two daughters" and used my bf's birth name in past tense context. Seeing my bf's expression when that happened struck a special little spark of rage in me. It's one thing to mess up when you're still getting used to the change, it's a whole other thing to think it's okay to deadname someone just because you're referring to them in a past context.

Our fiance is the only one who ever told my male alters that it wasn't even a question if they were male or not. That made us so happy lol I've just started to watch your videos Jamie and honestly..... that's just amazing! I sadly don't know much about the LGBTQA+ community in general. And I'm glad that I get to learn things but also to see that you're both (with Noah) with such wonderful people! PS. I truly hope that what I said made sense, English isn't my first language ^^; I'm sorry if it didn't - Stars To talk for myself, a male alter, I get dysphoria often and that's quite a pain. It stuns me the obvious things people need to be told, like of course saying “you LOOK really masculine”, as it obviously invalidates their identity. I mean I get some people are trying and that’s good, but it seems so obvious to me. This is such a great conversation

18:14 mark: Shaaba and Jamie dying laughing, Noah SO DAMN SMUG AND PROUD OF HIS JOKE and meanwhile, Corry still trying to be serious and stay on topic. LOL!!! Epic!!!

I can't say enough on how much I love these informational videos and just how important they are 💗 I very recently came out as "not necessarily straight" but have had a difficult time landing on anything specific because, until now, I just honestly didn't think about how invalidating it was of me to think of myself as pansexual due to my having hooked up with a trans man. The discussion for the question at 6:52 was a great eye opener! I've been an ally since middle school and I'm still learning and growing with the community and just appreciate this openness a whole lot 🥰

i get the reverse of this a lot because i’m pan but nobody really understands the definition of “pansexual” and it’s cause i’m attracted to people regardless of gender not just the trans babies
@wooyeah17384 жыл бұрын
That’s kinda uneducated of them. I’ve experienced it in reverse (I’m pan) and I know it absolutely sucks.

Yes! I agree with everything in this video! just wanted to remind you that Pansexuals in general aren’t transphobic! (I mean there are transphobic pansexuals but that’s not because they’re pan sexual)

lmao, man. the world is so much better when people can be who they want. look at the “color” of this. just the color of the group in the sense that it is diverse in all ways, rather than the blandness of cookie cutter existence. great stuff.

This is so reassuring. I went on a date with a gay cis guy (I’m a gay trans man who’s been on hormones for a while already) and he had no idea I was trans and we had a wonderful time but I told him after our date that I was trans and he was shocked but very kind about everything. Then he said he couldn’t date me anymore but said he’ll continue to be my good friend and support me throughout my journey. I was really relieved he was nice about it but heartbroken that not being cis was a dealbreaker. I wondered afterwards if he even enjoyed our date or really liked me. It sucks

Pretty sure she is his first. He dated a boy for like 5 min and had an awkward kiss and that was enough of that. He tells the story in a past video.

10:20 I experience disphoria and I don’t even know how to cope with that. How could a cis-person who’s never experienced that feeling in their life help a person who feels disphoric (?) if this person doesn’t even know themselves what to do?! Huuuge respect for the cis who try to do their best with helping.

Jamie, since I started watching some of your videos on here not too long ago, I had a feeling I recognised the face. The moment I got to this video and saw Shaaba's face it actually clicked, your appearance on a channel 4 program...really opened up conversation in my family, and helped me, retrospectively, to have a decent glimpse of what to expect when I eventually come out to my family. And you're helping again now, with all these videos giving me more perspective, and helping me grow into a better understanding of my finally acknowledged authentic self.. Thank you!

This video made me so happy to realise that trans people's dysphoria changes day to day and your reaction to comforting changes. I'm only just trying to come to terms with my gender identity and whether I'm non binary or a trans man and how to socially transition. But just that fact made me feel like I'm not crazy, dysphoria shows up in different ways and yeah. Thanks.
