God I love mechanical horns in march time! They always sound great. One of them's raspy...
@officialsimplexguy3 жыл бұрын
Yup. For sure. The 9805 is a bit funky but much better than before

Absolutely LOVE Mechanical horns. I wish they still made alarms like this. I love that FOS/Faraday you got on the wall, I need to find me one like that. Should do this same setup on 90 BPM 2001 Marchtime!!
@JBF-GST-Tanda Жыл бұрын
They last longer, sound louder and undergo less malfunctions than modern piezo-based electronic sounders.
@YourLocalFireAlarmTech Жыл бұрын
@@JBF-GST-Tanda Oh yeah. They're straight forward and to the point. They also grab attention better IMHO. They give off a more urgent sound telling you to leave immediately. But they just sound cooler too for enthusiasts like me lol
@cin4262 жыл бұрын
You don't hear alarms like this too much anymore. I didn't even know they still made them to sound like buzzers.
@SargeantPrepper2 жыл бұрын
I don't think they make them to buzz anymore, but there are a lot of older buildings with these.

How loud is my test if you had already prerecorded it my guess its 269 db with all horns and happy almost March time lol and this made me head bang like that one guy jamming to old simplex fire alarms
@officialsimplexguy3 жыл бұрын
Its not bad. The loudest was the 9806 but thats not terribly loud. The 9838 and 9833 were on the quiet side. You'll see it later this week

@@officialsimplexguy This guy doesn't know how loud fire alarms are.
@officialsimplexguy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I see. Its depending on your location that will depend on the volume. So youre right 269db would kill somebody. Sound always averages out it never adds up as you add horns because that's not how sound works. In the case of test 32 with 2 87db horns and 1 99db horn. The system on average is 91db and that always fluctuates depending on how close you are and how loud the particular alarm is.
