অপারেশন হাইলস্টোনের পর চুক দ্বীপপুঞ্জ পরিণত হয় বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় সামরিক কবরস্থানে। ১০০ থেকে কয়েক হাজার ফুট গভীর সাগর তলদেশে পড়ে থাকে ধ্বংস হয়ে যাওয়া ৮টি যুদ্ধজাহাজ। ৩৯টি বেসামরিক জাহাজও তলিয়ে যায়; যার মধ্যে ১১ হাজার টনের হিয়ান মারু, ৮৬১৪ টনের কিয়োসুমি মারু এবং ৬৯৩৮ টনের ফুজিকাওয়া মারুও ছিলো। এছাড়া সাবমেরিন, সাবচেজার, ডেস্ট্রয়ার ও পেট্রোল বোটও ডুবে যায়।
