You are right; tourism is a good way to help Eritrea. However, I believe they know what they are doing. You have to understand our situation. We cannot compare ourselves with other African countries, as we face many challenges. Most other African countries rely on aid, and many of their needs are covered through that. I believe it is necessary for us to focus on securing food assistance. Diga is important for food security. Please please please they knew it.just we have to 🙏 pray and support them.

George, I respect your opinion but I can give you an example as I am an energy expert. The current total power generation in Eritrea is 40MW and the demand is 70MW. So Eritrea currently is producing half the demand. You cannot do anything with a power generation of only 40MW. There is an ongoing work to up it to 190MW which will be commissioned in March 2027. You can ask How are the mining companies operating. They are investing on their own energy generation. For example Bisha production is 20MW, if it was to use from the government generation it would have used 50% of the current production, which would be really bad. So I don’t see There would be an opening of the investment in the country before 2027 unless you have massive investment that generates its own power.
