I always respected Shri Dua. He was a brilliant and unbiased reporter (many times contradicting my views). Nukes were necessary, a deterrent primarily against China and also against other nuclear powers. Nukes were never meant for Pakistan. You don't need a battle tank to kill a rat. And the whole world knows that the Chinese orchestrated the atomic explosions in Pakistan with Chinese nukes just to pep up Pak on par with India. Also, it helped the Chinese to tie us on both sides, east and west. Many politicians wanted to see the exit of Shri. Modi ji from Gujrat. But destiny wrote a different story, that we all know. I thank Sh. vajpayee that he didn't take a hasty decision just to please sickulars. During Sh. Vajyapee's time, social media was not there. Whatever lies peddled by the news barons was the only source and we had to believe them. Now we have a powerful social media and every citizen is a reporter, with video cameras. So, love jihad, etc are getting exposed. What was the net result of statesmanship of Sh. Vajpayee? Nothing. So, the present dispensation changed tactics which yielding fruit. J&K stands integrated with India for ever.
