'Passing' - from my favorite JG album. There's just something about Seventies ECM jazz WITH AN ORGAN that just makes me all squishy inside. LOVE IT!

Saw them live in '79 at North Sea Jazz festival. It was a very special experience. I was astonished. Ever lasting memory. Anyone got any tape from '79?

Is there any video of Eberhard Weber with the lineup of Frisell, Mays ,Brunninghaus , Di Pasqua and Paul McCandless album titled, “Later that Evening “?

There's just so much great music that was never captured on video or even audio because the technology just wasn't where it needed to be. The equipment usually weighed a ton and was very expensive and often quite delicate. Such a shame there's not more from this great period in music. I swear, while I say it in jest there just may be some truth to it when I say nothing good happened after the Seventies.

The volume/tone knob fiddling in the solo starting at 10.30 is VERY irritating. Crank the volume up and PLAY BILL, JUST PLAY!

Nothing special against the keyboard player but there should be a law against trying to sound like Chick Corea, even when Bill Connors is in the lineup.

What a silly thing to say...John Taylor? A hell of a musician. I would like to know how many people, who love and know modern jazz, had to stop listening to John's solo in the second number, because it was such a shameless Corea cop. Zero, i would think.
@docnelson20083 жыл бұрын
John Taylor sounded nothing like Chick Corea and, by the way, was a great, world class piano player and not that bad playing organ.

Did he actually played there? I know he played in Athens but not at the jazz club of George Barakos...
