You're absolutely right! Amphawa has one of the tastiest coconuts in Thailand, so if you were looking for an authentic coconut, you went to the right place. And that green sauce that you thought was some sort of lemon was actually, what we call, "seafood sauce" which is made by grinding chillies and coriander root and other herbal ingredients. It's the best pairing sauce with any seafood dishes. Anyway, this is such a quality video. I'm so glad you had fun here in Amphawa and Bangkok as well. Take care!🙏

There are two types of coconuts: one is used for making coconut milk, and the other is for selling its water. These should not be mixed. Most other countries don’t seem to separate them. One notable type is the Nam Hom (Fragrant) coconut. Its shell is often burned first to enhance the sweetness of the coconut water. You should try it if you come across it somewhere. This type of coconut is primarily consumed within Thailand, so the coconut water exported from Thailand is usually a byproduct of coconuts bred for making coconut milk. These coconuts are grown in provinces like the one you visited Amphawha. Nam Hom coconuts, on the other hand, are mainly grown in provinces near Bangkok, such as Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi where Damnoen Saduek foating market located.
