Thank you Toni!!! Some people don't understand that EVERBODY has tangles now and then. She is not ABNORMAL, and nothing is "wrong with her hair". They're called Coils. They just need to be moisturized more when in its natural state. U can actually do more with this type of 4c hair. She'll be just fine!

I'm glad she let you give her that trim. I know folks can be weird about it and I hate when a stylist has someone leave the chair looking raggedy b/c of that. I also know ppl freak out b/c with kinky or curly hair, that little bit of extra weight will have them thinking you cut too much off yet in a month, she'll hopefully see how a)you didn't and b)all the new hair she grows is no longer chipping away. A lot of folks who say their hair never grows really are just letting it break off rather than get it cut regularly.

I'm glad she allowed you to cut it. Hair can't thrive with split damaged ends. You're a great stylist and it's unfortunate a few bad stylist have women fearful of getting their ends cut. Her damaged ends probably stunted her long term growth. Now she's back on track and looks beautiful. Your hair is stunning! You're going to have to move to Dallas soon so you can do my hair. Lol.

My hair use to act like this as well and no matter how much i trimmed it would still act up then i realized I didn't need a trim, I needed a cut! Once I did my second big chop my hair behaves like a child in boot camp lol. Sometimes we hold on to damaged hair because we don't realize its damaged or because we don't want to let go of the length. Great video girl!

My hair wuz jus like that sis wen I got my 1st silk press. Soon as she detangle it - it tangle Bak up but wen she used that dam paddle brush she showed NO MERCY. She literally wuz ripn thru my hair. There is nothing like that fresh trim feel ☺️ . I use to hold on to all my hair . My hair was hard to comb on wash days. Went to get it straightened and got 2 inches cut off I was sad until i felt how good it felt and looked. Then it grew back like weeds . Long story short gets your Trims ladies 😁

That's like my hair. It still tangles even after its cut. We just have kinky coily hair. so cutting doesn't make much difference. I just plat or twist each section right after detangling. But she has gorgeous hair

It's actually supposed to be that way. It's HER curl pattern. They r called Coils. It's a curl that is woven into itself. It's just what some 4c curl girls have coming out of their scalp. There is nothing ABNORMAL about her!!! She should just keep her ends soft with moisturizer or grease.

Lakendra Landon you may be defanging a bit harsh as that can damage the ends of your hair just as bad. Find conditioners or products that give better slip so you can literally glide the comb or brush through your hair. You also may need to focus conditioning more on your ends as they are the oldest and most fragile part of hair. You may also need an all around actual cut to make sure you’re actually getting all the split ends. I literally had to cut 3 inches of hair all around my hair because I was finding split ends in random places. Like sectioning like you’re flat ironing and cutting what needs cut. Hope this helps!!
