I love how Gleaner went with the paintless galvanized metal.

I'm especially fond of the M series Gleaner. Nobody in our area got a rotary until about 1990 or so, then they began to show up. In the rolling hill country of Washington state, it was the MH, MH2 and MH3 (The H stands for hillside equipped with leveling system.) If they were adjusted correctly and didn't go too fast, they were really good. Everyone that had them liked to run like the devil was after them so they were deemed "silver seeders" because they dumped the grain out the back. Great to see this.

My grandpa always had a gleaner for a long time. His last one was a f2 then he went to a 6 row header so he bought a jd 6620 which is hard on the corn. Gleaner is always the best

I have ran an E, F, and an F2 which were all good machines. I also ran an L2 which was full of problems. The dealer got it back and the owner went to an MF 760; he came from a 510 to the L2. Never ran an N series so I can't give my experience there. Unless you have spent some time and research on the other brands available, you will never know.

@@thegreenerthemeaner N6 was my last combine less moving parts than JD and natural flow threathing is easyer or crops and takes less fuel!!

@@thegreenerthemeaner That L2 must have been quite a lemon for him to go to a Massey 760. I bought my L2 in 2010 and it had a few bugs to work out caused by the previous owner but after I fixed the bugs it was a great machine for me but my R52 is soooo much simpler it isn't even funny..... Not that the L2 was overly complicated. I still have the L2 though...... One thing is for sure, I'd never want a Deere, era for era, over a Gleaner. The Deeres are always a mess to work on. My L2 is the later model with the longer cleaning shoe and it can out combine my buddy's 1660 in corn, I just wish it had a feeder reverser for soybeans.

Needs the corn head auger slowed down which you could do with a sprocket change.

Those N6’s were a pile of shit. That along with bad dealer service killed gleaner.
@SilverGleaner3 жыл бұрын
I disagree. The Series III N6 was a pretty good unit and there were many in my area and many dealers that had great service. Suess Implement was a great dealer here but there are no longer enough dealers around and AGCO seems satisfied to let the North American market slip away these days.
