The truth is, Sherlock and Irene never saw again, after he saved her life. Their whole relationship based only on mutual respect and admiration. Ben said only what the audience wanted to hear. But there wasn't a night between Sherlock and Irene. Moffat: "To be honest, I think they never saw each other again, is the truth."
