The story behind "On golden pond" is so moving. Reconciling with your own past is really powerful and demonstrative of how beautifully intrincate human relationships can be. And she did it using as a medium what bonded both her and her father: movies.

In her documentary, Jane says that her father liked to rehearse everything before filming, but she decided to improvise something. After her father delivered his lines in the scene where they discuss their relationship, she touched his arm unexpectadly and he had to cover his face because he started crying. Very moving indeed.

She should get the Kennedy center honor this year. She defied the establishment and became one of the few actresses that had portrayed three dimensional female characters back in the 60s and 70s, which was rare in Hollywood back in the day. She would make history as the first child of a previous Kennedy Center Honoree, her late Father Henry Fonda, to receive one as well. Her roles have been personally uncompromising in its depth and quality. Despite having a legendary actor for a father, she managed to be successful in her own right and have longevity in this cutthroat business and influence actresses who came after her.

I mean I remember watching “9 to 5” as a kid and just loving the story, the chemistry of Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda and Dolly Parton. It was an important film in cinema because it discussed society and its treatment of women in the workplace. Now here I am being such a fan of “Grace and Frankie”, loving the story, their chemistry, the timely storyline and most of all how to survive and be happy even as you get older and life deals you a hand you didn’t see coming. I am already crying, thinking about the end of this series. Grace is my favorite character in this show. Grace and Frankie, beyond makes me laugh, makes me reflect about the older people and getting older too. Jane is a great actress and is delightful see her acting.
