Ay, brew, I was wondering if you knew that African Wild Dog documentary where they follow a pack, until they all die from disease after they cross a certain river, and only one is left. And the final shot is the lone male crying out for his pack. Been searching for it for a while.

46:40 she was accepted bc of her smell, smelling of the pack that Lotus was a part of. so it was familiar to her, therefor normal and probably somewhat comfortable. What a great outcome. Solo with other pups that she could bond with more and closer to her own age. how fortunate the outcome was.

I just can't seem to stop watching this. I adore angel and the sheer innocence of her plight and struggles poor thing. Esp when she's begging from brutus. And pleading and begging havoc for last pup. And then not being able to carry her pup.

18:25 so fascinating how there is so much emotion in this scene, and in an animal none the less. incredible. 18:45 gdang they're practically jumping down his throat. 18:50 surely he, or another, took notice like that and still had food to share with her. but didnt. poor sweet angel. 18:55 just look at those bellies so round. theyr'e surelly getting plenty. but you wont ever see a pup regurgitate for another, sure they share, but they're still selfish. they share by means of tolerating the others to compete for food. 19:00 just so sad. the clear disappointment touches a soft spot in my heart for her. poor thing just trying to live a normal life, yet she's chastised for it. this video is so good, yet sad. i also wonder what she's thinking/feeling. the brokeness and sadness in her eyes and demeanor tell so much. seeing her in other scenes where she's tearing part of the prey seems like such a different AWD compared to the other scenes where she's totally submissive and beaten. 19:20 good lord thats so sad. even more 20:50 so had havoc killed that one as the others, i wonder how the integration back into the pack would've been.

so amazing the dynamics of the AWDs lives whereas the pups only concern is being fed and eating, but the adults concerns are feeding them, protecting, teaching, etc. 2 vastly different sized circles that overlap in a small area.

6:30 wish it were zoomed out a bit so we could see them all suckling. i would like to have seen amny of the scenes longer. sometimes splitsecond shots arent enough to appreciate it as much as a longer shot to really take it all in.. plus so fascinating how they all do their ears in so many ways according to their mindset at the time. those mothers backs must surely be strong to support all those weights pulling downward like longer shot at the hyena stealing her morsel. that lil belly how can they stuff so much in there? and the mothers just standing there so patiently. truly incredible their maternal instincts to give them so much nourishment being milk meat whatever. unlike lions fending for themselves. with all the others spread out pulling security. their comprehensions are incredible, so much cognitive thought.
