*****​ thanks for your insightful comment + we both love Jane.......practically every time I hear Monheit sing I become misty.....a sweet and very Dear to me Lady, who left in the Spring of 2012, introduced me to this marvelous singer with "Once I Walked In The Sun" which she duets with the Brazilian singer Ivan Lins. She's underated but I believe it's by her own design......I had the opportunity to hear her @ New York's Bluenote.....what a masterful performer/singer so sweet/classy/such a Lady/golden voice and I swear Jane Monheit caresses the lyrics, like a poet reading their work....I personally feel it's sinful how little airplay she gets but in today's music market, I can see that happening. The American Songbook is in good & very capable hands......Michael Buble, Monheit, Loren and a new slew of singers which @ the moment escape my mind Also the other side of modern balladers & its songwriters are making wonderful contributions to that awesome Songbook.
