The reason that other commenters are expressing confusion is because you have somewhat over complicated this lesson and filled it with theory that, while helpful, is unnecessary. For a song lesson video to be accessible to beginners, the song must be explained first in a purely physical, fret by fret, string by string walk through. THEN you may explain the theory. For example, you cannot simply say "C7". Many learners who are new to theory learn exclusively from tabs, and may not even be able to find a C on the fretboard, let alone construct a chord by finding its 3rd, 5th and 7th. All they see is your hand making a vague shape on the fretboard. The way I would do it is show the chord string by string, fret by fret, THEN explain that it is a C7. A lesson should be like a visual, real-life guitar tab first and foremost, then add the theory after. That said I do appreciate this upload and thank you for it.

+buckdich1 Exactly. This tutorial is ridiculously hard to follow. Doesn't even tell what fret(s) to start on for most of the video. Lame.

Hey Matt , i have been playing guitar for only a year and a half and I have to learn this solo. I watched the video but it still kind of confused me, do you think maybe you could make a tab? You don't have to it would just help me a lot. Thanks

7:30 onwards, you don't explain this phrase at all. You merely outline three notes of a G major barre chord and say that the target note is B, you the proceed to play the entire phrase without showing what notes you are playing. If you're going to use this method and not verbally describe each note you are fretting, please at least use a close up shot of your fret hand, otherwise it's impossible to know what you did other than listening repeatedly and learning by ear.

thankz Matt for the lesson! I've a request..can you do a lesson for No one's leaving from Jane's addiction?
@MattBrownGuitar7 жыл бұрын
No problem, Giulio! I'll add that one to my request list. I'm doing some of their other songs in the very near future: Then She Did, Ain't No Right, Classic Girl, and maybe a few others.
