Holy crap I was at this concert!, Janes stopped playing ! Perry got all personal with the crowd and quit. Temps were so hot and everybody was tripping on acid.

Awesome hot day at Compton Terrace, what a party! Perry and Dave got in a fight on stage and Dave smashed his guitar and stormed off! The band kept playing without him and he came back and tried to play with the busted up guitar and then tossed it and bailed again, classic! Iced T and Body Count was great that day, they blew the crowd away. NIN smashed their amps and instruments when they had sound problems at the beginning of their set. Fun day out in desert for sure! 🌵🎸💪

Absolutely awesome show. I didn't see this one but I saw the Stanhope, NJ show. Loved the entire lineup and the start of festivals that would be so popular afterwards.

After all the shit that happened that day, both to the equipment because of the AZ heat they weren’t prepared for (nobody ever is, apparently not even folks from LA), and then between Dave and Perry, I’m surprised they finished the show, much less got on stage in the first place. To Perry’s and Ted Gardner’s (their manager, RIP) credit though, the tour (which really hadn’t been done before, at least one with its size and scope) never had another hiccup that year. Unfortunately, to this day the band still never gets the credit they deserve.

Perry can still sing. If you had any respect for this man you wouldn't be commenting negativity like that. The dude is almost 70 years old. Give him a break bro. Where is your music and multi-platinum selling albums?

Two bumps in an amazing show. Rollins was mind-blowing, Butthole Surfers were weird as hell, Ice-T & Body Count delivered. Great stuff.
@user-uo1qr6vn1q5 жыл бұрын
Saw the show when they came through NY state. Rollins was walking around in the crowd and talking to kids after he played. Gibby Haynes was shooting a shotgun into the air. Body Count had thousands of kids singing “Cop Killer.” Trent Reznor set their drum kit on fire. Living Colour’s vocalist sounded absolutely fantastic, even after diving off the lighting rigging into the crowd. When Janes came on, it felt like an goddamned earthquake. And Perry and Ice T did Sly and the Family Stone’s “Don’t Call Me Ni**a, Whitey.” Even though I was a young kid and I’d see many more shows in my lifetime, very few were more memorable.
@hotlanta355 жыл бұрын
Yeah he did that in Atlanta too

And he's got all that botox and a funny hair cut. He even wears gay sash's around his neck. They always said he was from Queens originally, but he's really from Woodmere I read and that's in Long Island "5 Towns Area". Peretz Bernstein.

@LSUOdyssey2 жыл бұрын
sound is awful, you can hear the PA delaying the snare and stuff...with the heat, it would be insane. No wonder NIN also lost their shit and freaked out. Stupid to schedule a show in TEMPE in July....there's better locales in Arizona that would provide less extreme temps
