Good grief. She's a great actress. Her lines. Her restraint. Her feeling. Hollywood of the Golden Age. One of the finest of her time. RIP, Jane Wyman.

I never thought of THE LOVE BOAT as being part of a "steamship line" but I guess that makes sense. I assume the ship runs on diesel vs. coal, but that could still make steam.

Less aggressive, severe editing would have given Wyman's performance better context and actually enhanced her. It would have would have also given us a peak at another Hollywood star, Dennis Morgan, in his last acting role.

Ironic because wasn't she once a nun on Falcon Crest too?
@paulvoorhies88212 жыл бұрын
Nope. That was Abby Dalton, who played her daughter, Julia.

@@paulvoorhies8821 Ah yes you're right. Didn't she die in a fire or something while dressed as the nun? Or was it a plane crash I don't remember.
@paulvoorhies88212 жыл бұрын
@@josebro352 No. Wha ha happen was: Julia returned to Tuscany and, dressed in a habit, attempted to kill Angela in the church during her wedding to Phillip. She then “supposedly” died in a fire in the Spring House, but it was later revealed that she escaped the fire by taking refuge in an old spring/well underneath the house. She would return again, was captured by the Neo Nazis and then was sent to live with nuns in a convent. Irony much? She came back for a visit, during the earthquake, which left her blind. She was written off the show after that. And those were her supposed “ashes” they were flying to Italy to spread, when the plane crashed en route, outside of Denver.
