She looked like she just rolled out of bed. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I used to picture these backstage waiting rooms like hotel rooms; but they're more like a hospital waiting room.

Janeane Garofalo is vastly more entertaining than all these talk showhosts. Why doesn’t she have her own show?

She would probably say it's because she's lazy and not because they don't want to give her one

Have you forgotten about Air America? She was a radio talk show host for a couple of years, but the whole network bombed including her. She’s awesome and all, but if all she wants to talk about are liberal democrat talking points, it was pretty boring pretty fast.

I thought Conan did such a great job here keeping the interview from getting awkward and kept it funny.

I really liked Janeane in the 90s. I thought she was interesting, funny, and really pretty. I was in my teens and 20s. But then I started to realize she would dislike me personally because we don't always agree on political views. That was alienating as a fan. This reminded me of how much I liked her.

Also watching her go to bat for Louis CK and refuse to throw him under the bus. It's this kind of admirable behavior that influences people to listen to opposing political views and generally lends to making the world a better place. Very impressed with her.

@JDMime I didn't say that the Louis CK issue is a political view. Though I think you could make the argument that the elements surrounding it touch the broader definition of 'politics' (as in: "the assumptions or principles relating to or inherent in a sphere, theory, or thing, especially when concerned with power and status in a society.") What I said was that it is admirable behavior, both having a more nuanced take on the broader issue and range of offenses and not throwing one's friend under the bus because current cultural mores call for it. It's in knowing (or at least assuming to know) what her take would be on Weinstein or how she likely feels about Trump that this stance becomes even more impressive. And she says it herself when she acknowledges that many of her friends would likely disown her for making discrepancies between, say, Louis and Weinstein. It's not specific to left, right or center -- just seems that the world is increasingly broken down to "with us or against us" these days and I admire anyone with the balls to push back against this.

@@ocan1033 I agree you have a point about "with us or against us" as long as you mean that's coming from both sides of the political spectrum. President Trump is the ultimate in "with us or against us"-ism. His morning toilet Twitter storms are all about calling anyone who would dare disagree with him every name in the book. His rallies feature him inciting violence against anyone who would dare to protest any of his now 9,000+ lies.
