I had both your new books preorder as soon as Amazon had them. I couldn't wait to get the book in this demonstration in April. And I had some problems getting the whimsical girls art journal. But on its way to me it was opened and the book was taken out. I was so deflated. But I got in touch with Amazon and instead of sending me another book I had to order it. I was so lucky they still had stock because I hear now there is a waiting list.

I have the same dog! Breed, that is, hahaha. But, my girl, "Peanut" is pretty unique in the fact that she was born with no nose. LOL. She looks like a little sea lion. I LOVE the “Ink” blue paint from Jane’s first paint set! Does anyone know either a classic name (like “indigo” but Ink is darker, I think) or any brand names of colors that are as close as possible? I can’t believe how many years it’s been now since JD products appeared at my local Michaels store! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had been a fandom hers already and totally latched on to her “Rainbowitis” because I am the same way and hoard art supplies (and I’m a crazed completest who has to have *every* color of anything I love, and when Jane’s products came out I bought at least one of everything!). Based on her recommendation I had bought and made a wonderful palette of all of the Peerless watercolors, including Jane’s colors! I also asked for the *full* set of Prismacolor colored pencils for Christmas so I, too, could call myself a “Prismadonna”, lol! So many of Jane’s products I bought even though I already had “professional artist grade” versions so I bought her colored pencils even though I had the Prismacolors (and frankly having a smaller set makes it easier to work than taking the time to choose the “perfect” color from so many choices) and I got her water soluble crayons even though I have the full set of Caran D’Ache watercolor crayons (which I bought because my friend, Tamara Laporte uses them a lot… and when I was a kid, my mom had a medium-sized set of them which she would use for face painting kids whenever one of her children’s schools had a fair that needed volunteers! they were terrific for face painting - it was more like “face drawing” - though I hope there wasn’t any cadmium or other somewhat toxic chemicals! I don’t think there was!) So, I keep meaning to swatch out every blue paint, pencil, marker, pastel, etc. I own to see which is closest in color to that tiny tube of “Ink” acrylic, but that would be a HUGE undertaking! I have been drawn to darker blues (and blues in general, although at first I *loved* the aqua color that’s on all JD products (including my Platinum 6 Jane Davenport edition cutting and embossing machine - I don’t make scrapbooks and I only make cards when I’m in a jam and don’t have a birthday present, so I would probably have never bought a cutting machine and gone down the rabbit hole of all of the different dies, embossing folders, and then 🙄 the Glimmer machine add-on that I had to get to get Jane’s Glimmer Dies….)… anyway, I used to adore that aqua color, but I have a bit too much of it in my studio now…. That “Ink” blue I still love and I have a tiny amount left from the 3rd set I bought. *blush* I didn’t buy the other 3 sets, since none of the colors were one’s that I didn’t already have or could mix, so that helped me justify buying 3 of that set just for that one little tube of Ink blue…. also, I’m an expert at buying at Michaels and I only paid a fraction of the full price… the 3rd set I grabbed from a tub of $3 clearance items several years after they had stopped having a whole JD section - something which was stupid of them (if they had any say in it and other companies were just offering Jane more than they could), because my visits to the store decreased *quite* a bit once there wasn’t Jane stuff to buy and re-buy! If they still had her line, I would show up every time there was something new, which I definitely don’t do for Tim Holtz/Ranger or any other “personality”! Thanks to anyone who read all of this! Give me some alternatives to “Ink” please!
