During the intro you can just hear Stern thinking "ahhh...so that's why there wasn't a chart...he's showing me what he wants me to play on the gig in real-time...what will these 'Click Like' generation kids think of next?" lol

Lucien Henry Gotta check to make sure he's getting some likes :-) I think Janek was in an "Oh, shit! I'm playing with thee Mike Stern!" mental state, here. He needed to leave an impression, so he pulled out his best "light saber" composition! Lol Knowing Mike, I'm sure he was impressed...

@@bourgeoisbrats What are you on about haha. He's played loads with Mike Stern.. and he was probably on facebook because there was a live Q&A.

ruffy boy .......But if you heard the Almond Bros jamming out on a one chord blues jam you'd probably dig it and say how "real" and "organic" it all was..... come on man get real. These guys are jammin on one chord and still make it sound interesting and pretty....Janek is a virtuoso, and his improvising chops are on par with a great horn player.

djpinto9991 I know he's a virtuoso and I only dream to be as good ever, but I don't agree that it IS interesting at all. Just my op. Peace.

+ruffy boy Isn't variety is a great thing in life, let alone alone music, a WONDERFUL thing. Imagine how lucky I am. I like this AND funk, AND ZEP. I guess I can see why it's not everyone's cup of tea.

A solo bass player just playing root notes to a song would be quite boring. When he plays with a full band, he doesn't play like this.
@j.schultheiofficial2638
@j.schultheiofficial2638 5 жыл бұрын
Then why would you watch a video of a bassist who is known to do solo bass stuff in the first place? Go watch your 4-string 24/7 root note players and let the actual musicians enjoy the players that use the full range of their instrument, not only the E and A-string.
