It's very rare when an artist can upstage the artist that did a song originally, not taking away anything from Elton, but Janet adds a certain innocence to this song with her special style. The only thing about the "studio" version is that damn piano, it's irritating! Janet is already on her way to becoming a bid success and we should all wish her well!

You had an excellent voice at your audition and so that version is the one I will continue to listen to. You have mastered your voice and so while is a very pretty voice it is now controlled. I will continue to hold out hope that in the future you will sing the song 'Sound of Silence'. It won't be as good now with your controlled voice, but it should be very nice to hear. The thing is, she's already got so much buzz that whatever she comes up with, people are gonna give it a chance, or many, like it regardless, they're already in love with her. There was some news in one those Hollywood sites (hollywire I think) that had a headline "2013's Soon To Be Superstars," and Carly was on the picture with two actors. Below they had a few actors, then a few musicians, Carly amongst them, but the hundreds of comments were all about her! There is a lot of buzz for this girl.

I didn't know who she was until you said you liked her version better so I checked her out. I have to admit, before I even saw Janet's video I was partial to Carly, because I was so intrigued with her since her xfactor audition. Janet does have a unique voice and she has the whole ghostly thing working for her, which the accent helps. I just prefer deeper voices and was so amazed that a voice like that could come from a 13 year old, but if she would've been in her 30's, I would still be in awe.

First time I saw her in the changed hair - color and dress - I feel like they have undressed her and made her an different person that she is. What a shame.
