I've been commenting on the various clips and this one was very enjoyable for the fact she focused more on vocal delivery and the rare songs she does in concert is always a great surprise. She may look thick, which is fine with me -she still looks hot regardless. Medleys can irritate sometime when one of your favorite songs is cut, but she has an extensive catalog of work so its understandable

The medleys were the worst part of the show. Followed by the horrible amount of lip syncing. I LOVE Janet but this show does not live up to her standards. There was a point in the show where she stopped and asked “what’s the next song?” All the while the track and vocals kept going. I’m sure she was thrown a truckload of cash for this residency and good for her! Get what you can while you can but if you’re going to pay, Be prepared for a subpar performance

This comment is in no way shade, being negative or even being a hater. I'm one of her biggest fans and have followed her career faithfully. My son went to her state of the world tour in StLouis two years ago. And compare to that performance and what is being shown from her Vegas show there is a huge difference. Even being a die hard fan you can't deny that. Now it doesn't take away from her overall talent and what she has accomplished in her career. And her ability to still give a go show. It's just more laid back not a lot of energy and very little dancing which we all know her for and expect to see. Janet is at a point in her career where she has nothing else left to prove. But, whether you're seeing it live where you purchased a expensive ticket or you're watching it on social media it's just not the same and age is a factor. And the last thing I'm going to say is I'm not comparing her to any other artist because she is and will always be in a class all by herself.

Let me explain this "vocals/tracks" subject most are talking about. Janet falls into the category of Britney, Madonna, J-LO, etc. (you with me so far?) So! approximately 80 to 90 percent of their music is production and "their voices" fall into that category "with the music" - NOT TO SAY they can't carry a tune because they can with "their voices" in "their" own way. Next is the question of how much "strength" do they have in their vocals. Is it enough to carry on a 2 hour show like STING? (just an example)---and even Whitney has shown- even before her issues- does a voice has 2 hour staying power? So, for those who dont have that 2 hour vocal strength, something has to be done to give those vocals a rest throughout the show. Now Janet has all these hits but due to most of these songs are in-studio production driven to dance to, its a hard to transition that sound to a 100% live band , and in SOME songs, the feeling of the song gets watered down some because the band cant duplicate or enhance that in-studio feeling we all have fell in love with the song, unless its a slow song. So in order to keep that feeling in those upbeat songs, they have to somehow match a live band (with some of the instruments are electronic) and blend it with the non-electronic live instruments (if any) and make a in-studio dance song an upbeat live experience the best they can. PERFECT EXAMPLE - How many remember Janet's "What Have You Done For Me Lately" at the Grammys? Compare that live track to the studio song - that Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis deep driven bass/beat wasn't present on stage, but they did the best they could musically and still it was a great performance anyway. Plus Janet being a dancer, another reason to go easy on her vocal strength/muscle whatever you want to call it. I know this is lengthy but sometimes you got to break it down.
