Methinx everyone is taking this way too literal, the wolf being the "creatures of the night" is obviously the fear and darkness of the unknown that consumes your mind and emotions. The owl is like finding light at the darkest depths of the seas being your conscience and rising up to conquer your fears, as you ride to victory on your fears knowing they were just holding you back and they were not a real threat. And then everyone takes a nap, THE END.

Is this a real drummer? Sounds good. So fresh. I've seen like two official Janet videos ;) and i have to say that: those backing vocals (maybe there's a better term to use in THIS case) are annoying. Why? What for? It doesn't really add anything to the song.
