We had this album on cassette in my household and I remember the song did cut off after the, "that's the end?" I just did a search for the full Rhythm Nation short film (it's about 30 minutes long); this is the first full song featured (you do hear a bit of "Black Cat" during the initial scenes inside the dance club) and includes the extended dance sequence ("That's the end? NO!").
