With Gladius as you built up the tiles would fill up with buildings and such, with Zephon you can actually see the buildings i.e the green domes for the food building or the neon street signs with the loyalty building

I think what happened was that humans unleashed the eldritch horror, the aliens sensed and came to stop it hut in the process battled the artificial AI defending earth and during this battle and potential leakage of the bleed changed its a parameters to kill all life.

I stand by it. The handful of cities from the start of the game are basically disconnected from the events later in the game. They’re an early game hurdle to keep the players apart and then they’re recycled into this other thing later.

@@JanetOnOccasion Sorry, mate, but I have to disagree. Unless you are lowering down their presence below average they are flooding the map over time. Zephon and the Anchorite are the major antagonists of this game IMO. I mean the game is named ZEPHON for a reason. Only Chieftess fits your bill as an early/midgame threat.

You keep running into the fog of war at max movement without doing some scouting first, idk how that's gonna work out for you in the long run.

@@JanetOnOccasion I admire your courage, I just like play a little more defensive in the early game. In Gladius, you can lose 2-3 units pretty quick. Does this play a little softer when it comes to that?

Nope. This game is much worse, if anything, But it's the early game so why be so cautious? If you get a false start just restart the campaign.
