(7): chuke mawiya qud ek badkaar aadmi tha aur uske dil me hmesha se Islam aur Ahlebait ki dushmani thy isliye aage chalkar uske dikhae aur batae hue raste pr chalkar uske bete yazeed ne bilkul apne baap maviya ki hi tarah jawanane jannat ke sardaar imam Husain a.s ki imamat aur qilafat ko nahy maana aur karbala me unhe aur unke sathiyon ko 3 din ka bhuka pyaasa shaheed kiya. Aur Huzoor s.a.w.w ke ghar ki aurto ko khule sar bazaaro aur gali kicho me ghumaya, aur unka tamaasha kiya . (8): Mawiya Maula Ali a.s se itni nafrat krta tha ke taqriban 70 hazaar mimbaro se sher e quda, maula Ali a.s ko gaaliya dilwata tha. Uthman was Old fella who did many wrong :- 1) He made a drunkard El-walid governer of kufa who in a state of drunkness stated that he can read more 4 rakat namaz for fajr 2) When Uthman came to power he removed previous governors and replaced them with his kinsmen, Things were particularly bad in Egypt from where the rebellion against Uthman originated. 3) People were also angry that Uthman brought back Marwan who was thre off by prophet mumhammad When Uthman ibn Affan became the ruler over Madina after Umar, he brought Marwan ibn al-Hakam and gave him charge in his government and also he brought his father al-Hakam ibn al-aaass to Madina against the orders of Prophet (Peace be upon Him and His holy Progeny). He was the uncle of Uthman ibn Affan. He was an open enemy against the Prophet (Peace be upon Him and His holy Progeny). His son Marwan Ibn al-Hakam was also expelled from Madina by Prophet (Peace be upon Him and His holy Progeny) for the same reason. Ayesha openly told Marwan that I bear witness that the Prophet cursed you and your father. 4) Usman gave the fadak land to his cousin Marwan(fugitive), Marwan and his lineage was cursed by Prophet Saw too. Fadak remained with Marwan’s progeny 5) bukhari vol 6 book 61 no 510 states that Utnman ordered all copies be burned and replace it with his version The history and content of the Qur’an has resulted in Islam’s scholars seeking to defend the Qur’an according to their own opinion (ikhtilaf) of what the evidence says, and not upon ‘facts’, of which there seem to be very few in Islam. This has resulted in a conflicting array of ‘stories’ and has placed Islam in the embarrassing position of having several explanations for the presence of such divergences in the early written texts, when it has been telling everyone that such variations have never existed! 6) All other copies of the Qur’an were then burned (in 652 AD) so that there could be no challenge to the authorized text. It remains to be answered why Uthman had to produce an authorized version of the Qur’an, if indeed the Qur’an had been perfectly preserved from the beginning (Hafsa’s version from 634 AD which was under he bed for 20 years that was given by abu bakr and then by umar to her). The story of different dialects falls apart because there were no diacritical markings in Arabic till late 8th century (this can be verified from available manuscripts), thus there would be no difference in the written Islamic texts in 7th century AD even if people had differences in recitation which are caused by diacritical markings. There was thus no reason to re-write Qur'an in 652 AD and burn the earlier copies! Regardless of who is commiting this action, any kind of insulting the Holy Quran, is forbidden in Islam. After Uthman ibn Affan finished the Quran, he ordered everything except his Quran to be burned. And he sent to everyone "I have done such and such and erased what I have, so erase what you have". The Companions accepted what Uthman did and agreed that it was correct. Those who compiled the Uthmanic Qur’an made choices about what to include and what to exclude; they did not include everything. What Uthman did, in fact, was against the Islamic rules regarding the Holy Quran. In Islam, the Holy Quran has the utmost situation and is also admirable with all Muslims. The general rules about a Quran which is not useful anymore, for a reason like a rupture, being illegible, or such reasons, are as follows: Bury it Throwing it in a river Washing it with water till the words are disappeared But as it is mentioned in the question, Uthman preferred to burn it. It made some companions of the Holy Prophet to protest against him and his action towards the Holy Quran. For example: Imam Ali, however he confirmed the unity among the Holy Qurans, never agreed to burn the rest of Qurans. He even protested Uthman and tried to awaken the Muslims about what was happening in the Islamic society by their leader! Imam Ali, in the day when Qurans were burned, told to Abu Dhar al-Ghifari: “Today a terrific event occurred in the Islamic society, and the book of Allah has been burned. They are all deserved to be burned in the hell as they did with the Holy Quran today”. Later, some Muslim scholars, especially Sunnis, tried to justify what Uthman has done by insulting the Holy Quran and burning it. But, is it justifiable? 7) When Uthman came to power he removed previous governors and replaced them with his kinsmen, hile saying that the prophet has gifted his family members which is religiously not wrong, what was wrong was that his governors made things that most of the people hated, like Abdullah Ibn Aby El Sarh increasing taxes over the Egyptians. Another one in an Iraqi governorates drank wine. Uthman removed its governor El Moghyra and replaced him with Saad Ibn Aby Waqas, but due to problems between Saad and Abdullah Ibn Massoud, who was responsible for Monetary he removed Saad and replaced him with El Walid Ibn Oqba, Uthman's half brother, El Walid was hated by the people, he drank wine and prayed which was totally unacceptable to them. People were also angry that Uthman brought back Marwan who was thre off by prophet mumhammad People were also agitated with him because he burnt various version of quran The protesters turned rebels had demanded a new caliph As his house was set alight, some protestors were able to jump to the back of his house, and he was killed by protesters who became rebels and who were angry with his decisions and his work and his actions The situation was even more dire after Uthman's death, as you can remember, the companions of the Prophet fought each other in wars between Ali and Aisha. Ali later appointed Ibn Abi Bakr as the governor of Egypt. But after Ali's death, Uthman's relative Muwawuyia instructed his army to kill Ibn Abi Bakr, which they did..and was replaced by Amr Ibn Al As, another Islamic military commander enemy of Imam Ali

Whereas Muywaiya (ra) defended and expanded Islam, fought Romans and Persians, commanded first naval army against Romans, spread Islam in 3 continents and made Islamic Caliphate the no.1 empire during his rule!
