I have an idea for your next map. A parkour course that plays music. Here's how it'd work: At the start of each level, you trigger one set of notes and have to complete it before it stops because once it stops playing, a death barrier will be triggered and fill that room. Some segments would be longer than others, but to ramp up difficulty the later levels will leave less time after the notes to complete. Multiple songs would be included, either separated by color on one long linear course or being separate small courses to play induvisually. What do you think?

Surgery" Chapter 1: The Unexpected Pain The Blue Grinch had always been the mischievous villain of the valley. Unlike his green counterpart, he wasn’t so much interested in stealing Christmas as he was in causing trouble for the residents of Snowflake Hill. He enjoyed playing pranks, scaring the children, and, of course, avoiding any kind of work. But one cold winter morning, something unexpected happened: he felt a sharp pain in his knee. At first, the Grinch thought it was just a bad stretch or maybe a minor ache from all the mischief he’d been up to. After all, he wasn’t exactly the most active fellow. But the pain didn’t go away. In fact, it grew worse as the day went on, until he could hardly walk without wincing in discomfort. "Ugh, this is ridiculous!" the Blue Grinch muttered to himself. "I’ve got mischief to make and knees to bend… but not like this!" He hobbled back to his cave, grumbling about how unfair it was that his knee was giving him so much trouble. After all, he was a Grinch, not some old man with creaky joints. But he had to face reality: he needed help. Chapter 2: A Visit to Dr. Frost In the village, there was one person who could help the Grinch: Dr. Frost, the renowned polar bear orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Frost had treated all sorts of creatures from penguins to reindeer, but he had never seen a patient quite like the Blue Grinch before. Reluctantly, the Grinch limped his way to Dr. Frost’s clinic, muttering under his breath about how embarrassing it was to ask for help. The snow crunched beneath his feet as he approached the icy clinic, its windows glowing with a soft, reassuring light. Dr. Frost, a big bear with a white coat as pristine as snow, greeted him with a warm smile. "Well, well, what brings you in today, Mr. Grinch? You look like you’ve been on the wrong end of a snowball fight." The Grinch groaned. "It’s my knee. It’s been bothering me for days. I need it fixed. I can’t go on causing chaos if I can’t even walk properly." Chapter 3: The Diagnosis Dr. Frost led the Grinch into an examination room, where the Blue Grinch gingerly sat on the cold, shiny table. The doctor examined the knee closely, poking and prodding, making the Grinch flinch every now and then. "Ah, I see," Dr. Frost said, after a few moments of silence. "It looks like you’ve got a torn meniscus, and some inflammation in your joint. No wonder it hurts so much. You’re going to need surgery if you want to get back to your usual self." The Blue Grinch’s face fell. "Surgery? Oh no. I’ve heard terrible things about surgery. I’m not sure I can handle it. What if it goes wrong? What if I end up with two left knees?" Dr. Frost chuckled. "I assure you, Mr. Grinch, knee surgery is quite common. I’ve helped many, many creatures like you. It’ll be a piece of cake. You’ll be back to causing mischief in no time." The Grinch wasn’t so sure. But if Dr. Frost said it was necessary, he supposed he had no choice. Chapter 4: Preparing for Surgery The day of surgery arrived, and the Grinch couldn’t shake the nerves. He paced around his cave, muttering to himself and looking for distractions. "Maybe I can sneak out the back," he considered, but quickly dismissed the idea. His knee was in too much pain, and he knew there was no avoiding the inevitable. Dr. Frost’s clinic was bustling with activity when the Grinch arrived. He was ushered into a pre-surgery room, where a nurse-a small but cheery snow hare-gave him a gown to wear. "Don’t worry, Mr. Grinch," she said in a soothing voice. "Everything is going to be just fine. The surgery will be quick, and you’ll be out of here before you know it." The Blue Grinch grumbled but reluctantly changed into the gown. His thoughts were a jumbled mess, filled with concerns about the surgery, the anesthesia, and-most importantly-whether or not he’d be able to go back to his usual mischievous ways after it was all over. Chapter 5: The Anesthesia Before he knew it, the Grinch was lying on an operating table, surrounded by the soft, sterile smells of the operating room. The bright lights above him seemed almost blinding as the anesthesiologist, a small, round polar bear, approached him with a mask. "Alright, Mr. Grinch," the bear said in a calm voice, "this will make you feel nice and relaxed. Just take a deep breath and count to ten." The Grinch wasn’t sure he wanted to count to ten, but he followed instructions anyway. As the gas filled his lungs, his eyes grew heavy, and the world began to fade away. Chapter 6: The Surgery The next thing the Grinch knew, he was waking up in a recovery room. His knee throbbed, but the pain was far less intense than before. As he blinked his eyes open, he noticed Dr. Frost sitting at his side, smiling kindly. "Welcome back, Mr. Grinch," Dr. Frost said. "The surgery went perfectly. We repaired the meniscus, and I’ve done a little cleaning up around the joint. You’ll be feeling much better in no time." The Grinch looked down at his knee, which was now wrapped in a thick bandage. "It feels weird," he muttered, "but not as bad as I thought it would." Dr. Frost chuckled. "That’s the beauty of modern medicine. You’ll be walking on it in no time, and before you know it, you’ll be back to your old tricks." Chapter 7: The Recovery The first few days after surgery were tough. The Grinch had to keep his knee elevated and ice it regularly. He couldn’t go out causing trouble, and that was starting to drive him stir-crazy. But as the days passed, the pain began to subside, and his range of motion slowly improved. The Grinch groaned as he tried to follow the movements, his knee feeling stiff and awkward. But Blitzen was patient, encouraging him every step of the way. "You’re doing great. Just take it slow and remember-every little bit of movement helps." Chapter 9: Frustration Sets In Despite his best efforts, the Grinch began to get frustrated. He wasn’t able to move as easily as he used to, and he couldn’t run or jump without feeling pain. "I’ll never be able to sneak around and cause trouble like I used to," he complained to Blitzen one day. Blitzen just smiled. "It’ll take time, Mr. Grinch. You just need to be patient. Healing isn’t a race." The Grinch grumbled but knew deep down that Blitzen was right. He just had to give it time. Chapter 10: A New Perspective As the weeks went by, the Grinch’s knee continued to improve. Slowly but surely, he regained strength in his leg. He was even able to take a few small walks around his cave without the nagging pain that had plagued him before. One day, as he limped through the snowy hills, he found himself reflecting on his journey. For the first time in ages, he wasn’t thinking about pranks or tricks. Instead, he felt grateful for the healing process. "Maybe there’s more to life than just mischief," he thought to himself. "Maybe I should slow down a little. I don’t need to run at full speed all the time." Chapter 11: Back to Mischief By the time the Grinch was fully recovered, he had a new outlook on life. He was back to causing trouble, but this time with a little more care for his body. No longer did he push himself to the point of injury. Instead, he paced himself, taking breaks when he needed to and even allowing himself moments of rest. His knee, once a source of pain, was now a reminder of the importance of self-care. And so, the Blue Grinch continued his life of mischief-only this time, he did so with a little more wisdom, a little more patience, and a lot more appreciation for the things that mattered. The End
